Is forced Induction for me?

I use my 370z as a DD :driving:

But how i miss the boost :shakes head:

Basically the plans are to keep my Fuel Eco as high as I can due to a 50 mile round trip to work.

I'm looking to purchase the Amuse bodykit and possibly the armytrix valve exhaust mainly because I sometimes have to leave for work at half 5 in the morning and don't want to piss off the neighbours but then I want to open the exhaust up and have some fun. Will this exhaust system work with Forced Induction or is there only a few exhaust systems to go for if you want good results...

I'm wanting about 500WHP :stirthepot:

So my question is to all them 370z owners running TT or Single turbo

Whats your Fuel Eco Running 500WHP with TT or Single

Cheers Jon :tiphat:

I would not do it with my daily driver. Always a chance of something going south.

There is always a chance that something will go south, but honestly, with a proper install and tune, there should be little headaches. These engines don't mind boost. There's a lot of guys on here that are boosted that have done it right the first time and there cars run flawlessly. Just make sure you find a reputable tuner. As for the exhaust,I don't know much about the armytrix, but just make sure there's no cats and it should be fine for boost.

I daily my TT Z in the summer. I average 28 mpg on the highway in 6th if cruising at 70 mph. I have the AAM Competition TT Kit. Highly recommend it!.

If you are worried about Fuel Eco then i would suggest not do it. Boost is addictive and you're gonna want to go into boost every time you see open road.

Thanks for the replys, yeah Aviator is getting the point,
if i just want to sit on the motorway at 70 I was just wondering what my mpg would be, I'm not bothered about open road boost, as then I want to have my fun..
Money isn't that tight haha otherwise there would of been no point in buying the car, just want my fuel eco to be good on the motorway when I'm going back and to to work each day :)
I really want the twin turbo kit, as the power them things produce is absolutely stunning
but then Single turbo because at least the motor would be sitting vacuum when Im on the motorway, I'm a bit of a turbo noob but hopefully this makes sense

I daily drive my supercharged 370z. Drives normal until you want to open the car up. But it means proper tuning and staying in sane boost levels. I am sure TT would be even better if done right and sanely tuned/driven.

G6JPM 04-05-2015 10:50 AM

Brut what you getting at 70? Mpg wise?

Is forced Induction for me?

You'll lose 2-4 mpg. More if you do a lot of city driving. And there will be almost no noticeable difference in mpg between a single or twins.

VSS370z 04-05-2015 11:27 AM

Then go for it man. The car drives pretty much like stock when not in boost. This is my first boosted car and i was surprise at how normal the car feels when not in boost and when it comes to mpgs just like Chuck said maybe 2mpgs lost but i hardly see any difference.

VSS370z You running single turbo or twin?

2011 Nismo#91 04-05-2015 12:54 PM

1. When at 6k+ RPM do you often find yourself feeling that the car is too slow?
2. Do you have $17-22K sitting around and not know anything better to do with it? (If you can do the work all yourself you can save around 5K off that.)
3. Do you usually have $5-10K available if the worst does happen.
4. Have you ever actually driven your car to it's full potential? Track/Autocross/etc.?

If you answered yes then FI is a no brainier.

Running Fast Intentions twin turbo kit.

brutusvk 04-05-2015 03:23 PM

Never tried to figure out my highway mileage. I average about 17-18 mpg average hwy/city. And I have a lead foot around town.

These motors feel totally different with boost.

G6JPM 04-05-2015 06:00 PM

I'm talking sterling £ so I'm not sure about the conversion exchange :) I'm hearing a lot of good things from this fast intentions twin turbo kit
I'm absolutely in love with the army trix exhaust system and the amuse body kit .... Obviously want an upgrade to the brakes first of all but don't want to get too off topic as you'll probably see me post for the brakes and stuff :)
Just as an taking the pros and the cons, what's the worst that could happen? Blown motor?

Regards Jon
