1. When at 6k+ RPM do you often find yourself feeling that the car is too slow?
2. Do you have $17-22K sitting around and not know anything better to do with it? (If you can do the work all yourself you can save around 5K off that.)
3. Do you usually have $5-10K available if the worst does happen.
4. Have you ever actually driven your car to it's full potential? Track/Autocross/etc.?

If you answered yes then FI is a no brainier.

To do it right you are going to drop minimum $15k on a turbo setup and you always need the 'my motor let go fund'.

As for mpg I went from 19ish to 16ish when I used to daily it to work. I bought a DD now so my mileage is about 11-12ish because it only comes out of the garage to play with it.

I will say that the VQ loves boost and having a boosted Z/G is loads of entertainment.

If you are undecided and you have the money for mods, buy and install all the supporting mods that you would need to go FI anyway. They won't hurt you being N/A. I see posts that people are getting 26 mpg or better, but I never got that N/A at 70 mph. I get 21 to 23 mpg on the driving between 70 and 80 mph. I get 14 to 16 in town with no highway driving. If you want fuel economy get another car!
