Painted VIS vented cf hood? Yay or Nay?
4 Attachment(s)
Deciding if I should purchase a VIS vented CF hood and paint it OEM Blade Silver. It kinda looks like the oem hoods on the the new Vipers IMO. I also want to get rid of all that power robbing heat soak.:shakes head:

I love mine painted, I get compliments on it, which is nice.

This is on platinum graphite, but I vote painted.

Paint it..

Mine is getting painted but leaving the center portion inside the hoodlines cf.

Another vote for paint. I had some CF on my car and will likely get it painted. Much cleaner overall look unless you are going all out "because race car" theme.

I was going to buy the same hood and paint everything but the vents in brilliant silver. I hate entire body panels that are exposed CF, it looks unpainted like you got in an accident and never painted the panels. It probably wouldnt be a good idea tho in vegas considering we have torrential downpours in the summer time.

I like that, that looks pretty sharp!that gap between the hood and bumper though... Is that common with these hoods? |

Also my bumper is old (bought my car in May 09 and have 87k DD miles), so it has taken some beatings over the years and has some little gaps. Even with my OEM hood one side was a little off. |
