Aerojacket V1 Fenders Question

So... These don't fit the 13' Nismo... Can anyone confirm? So disappointed. :(

Chuck33079 01-02-2015 09:19 AM

Fenders are different between models? That's odd. I haven't read of anyone having to get new fenders when swapping to a Nismo front bumper.

ZLady 01-02-2015 09:25 AM

Yea. The fenders don't fit at all. If you line the fenders up top on my nismo, the bottom and side is too short ... and vice versa... prob by about an inch. But fitted them on a reg 370 and they fit. SUCKS!

Chuck33079 01-02-2015 09:26 AM

That's really strange.

ZLady 01-02-2015 09:27 AM

Trust me... After tearing the entire car about it was not fun... It would of looked so good too..

cooltoy 01-02-2015 10:19 AM

Don't think I have seen a Nismo with those fenders.

There are a few, and/or Nismo replicas

OP, pics? What's catching/preventing fitment? 1" difference feels/sounds too weird to believe

GaleForce 01-02-2015 11:52 AM

I thought all the fenders are the same regardless of model. (370z)

So did I, that's why pics would be helpful.

GaleForce 01-02-2015 11:58 AM

Have you contacted Carbon Signal to see if they have any suggestions?

taboo2000 01-02-2015 12:35 PM

Aerojacket fenders are not the same as the Carbon Signal fenders. The aerojacket fenders have the cut going all the way down while the Carbon Signal ones have two "horizontal" cuts. There is a group buy going on right now at the vendors marketplace for interior/exterior. Heard nothing but good things from Carbon Signal; Aerojacket fenders, however, as stated on this forum, MAY have fitment issues. Still need 6 more potential buyers. Please stop by and check it out.

I never knew Nismo had different fenders

cooltoy 01-02-2015 05:07 PM

Shouldn't.

axmea? 01-03-2015 12:29 AM

It should fit. Those who converted to Nismo bumpers on OEM fenders had no issues so converting from stock fenders to aftermarket fenders should fit. Cooltoy showed pics to point it out.

I'm also confused, is it CS or AJ? Your subject lines are conflicting. Try to PM CS or AJ to see what suggestions they have for proper fit.

bullitt5897 01-03-2015 09:07 AM

Ok let me clear some things up in here...

Nismo and regular 370z have the same fenders. This is fact and is undisputable. I personally worked with aerojacket to develop the UAM and aerojacket fenders. All of our fenders were based off of a metal 370z fender.

All of our fenders fit. There were a few that had issues due to a mold warping.

To the OP's point this isn't the first I have heard of this fitment issue. I will leave my comments on the CS product at that. I hope the op has taken pictures of the issue and sent them off to CS. Hopefully, they will send you replacement fenders.

Mike

Yes, sorry I originally was going to get carbon signal but didn't want to wait as long and got AeroJacket. I was multi tasking too much when I made the post. So tried to correct. My bad.

But yes, I messaged AeroJacket about fitment. They claim it is suppose to go right on with no problems. This has been a nightmare. .. finally got them on after working with it for hours. . Not the best, but on. . Now where you bolt lights into is way off... going to have to fabricate some to make it work. Ugh longest project now so far.. taking car apart was the easiest... was excited for oem fitment :/

ZLady 01-03-2015 11:37 AM

And yea. I verified fender size and everything. Same code. Honestly it was so off I wanted to make sure I wasnt crazy...

ZLady 01-03-2015 11:42 AM

Will post pics when I get to a computer. Phone won't do it

cooltoy 01-03-2015 11:46 AM

I would take it to the body shop if I were you. From what I have read a bunch of sending will need to be done to get it to fit like OEM.

ZLady 01-03-2015 12:02 PM

Yea. I would of never bought them had i know this.

Luciano13 01-05-2015 11:27 AM

All aftermarket fenders are like this, or any fiberglass molds. There is always some shaving to make fit perfect. And you still will never get 100% oem perfect.

cooltoy 01-05-2015 12:15 PM

I agree.

But considering OEM fitment isn't that great................

TerribleONE 01-05-2015 12:25 PM

They couldn't even send me an interior kit that fit, so no surprise here. Hope you get your money back or a new set of fenders, I never did.

Yup.. I messaged them on here and they were like they should fit no problem because OEM...

ok... well I messaged you saying they DO NOT fit to OEM and told them exactly where the problems where... what do you expect. NO RESPONSE. I will no be recommending them at all... Such a shame.

Luckily my IT guy knows how to do fabrication work and can help me.

I wasn't expecting OEM perfect. But shouldn't be as off as they are. Drivers side where you bolt the right side of the light is off by over a half inch. I cannot stretch it to fit because it would be way too tight and break the moment I hit a bump. So now have to do some fiberglass work to extend and drill new holes once that's finished. I know the gaps etc are expected with carbon though. Just many hours... wont be buying Aerojacket again.

6MT-Z34 01-05-2015 12:54 PM

damn...sorry to hear about your troubles, can you post some pictures of the issues you have?

Yea. After like 9 hours fighting with this stupid thing.. I am hoping once i fabricate this part it will be the end of it. Or I will probably get more pleasure out of blowing them up hahaha. Will post when home this afternoon.

bullitt5897 01-05-2015 01:00 PM

Zlady did you reach out to aerojacket? I know they send replacements if there is an issue... Maybe you should call them and talk to them before you modify the fenders and can't send them back...

Luciano13 01-05-2015 02:04 PM

R u sure u have it under the light bracket? I have CS fender and i thought the same thing a first. It was like an inch off.... Then the fender slipped, and realized it went under the bracket...perfect fit after that! I was about to break them in half too:roflpuke2:

mag_black 01-06-2015 07:49 PM

^^ the title is a bit misleading; I believe he's talking about AJ fenders and not CS.

Donald@Carbonsignal 01-06-2015 09:49 PM

Yes please fix the title OP thank you......Again OP is talking about AJ fenders not CS.

If you read the part where it was corrected you would see i clarified for readers. You cant edit main title once you post, but i corrected it in beginning.

Riptide67 01-07-2015 05:32 PM

The AJ guys have been great to me as far as customer service goes and their products. Please be sure the fender tab goes under the light bracket. I ahd this issue with my seibon fenders and was like WTF. It was an error on our part during installation.

A friend of mine has the AJ fenders on his nismo with no issues and I would give the overall fitment a 9.5/10.

Yes the reason we said OEM because we make vents in OEM fenders without touching any mounting point up or low, not sure where was the confusion, Stock metal fenders will fit the car as its made for them without a mm gap as with any OEM part.

Coming to our V2 fenders those are in FRP and fits clean without any issue again on nismo and normal some pics for reference there was NO BODYWORK needed to make these fit like this.

Sometime the white bracket under headlights can get stuck but little maneuvering can solve this issue

Can you go ahead and PM me a estimate on these please. I'm in Florida 33432. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

ZLady 01-08-2015 09:50 AM
