What Size Exhaust Tips for 15+ Nismo?

Hey all,

I currently have the stock exhaust on my Nismo. I am wanting some after market short tails but I am not sure what size tips would look best.

I believe the stock tips are 4.5".
Would 5" tips look suitable?

What size are the GTR tips, they seem huge in comparison?

Installing the AAM resonated and non resonated Short Tail exhaust I believe the 5” tips really makes the Nismo Z look amazing! The AAM Short Tail exhaust tips look very nice on a Z in my opinion but AAM resonated and non resonated short tail exhaust kits are top notch quality for a muffler delete kit for the Z fitment is excellent as well as I have installed five of the AAM resonated and non resonated short tail exhaust kits. What year Nissan GTR are you comparing to? Because the stock exhaust tips are different sizes on different years. I believe the 09-11 GTR stock exhaust tips are 4.75” and the 12+ GTR stock exhaust tips are 5.25”. All depends on how big you like your exhaust tips on your Z?

I really thought the factory tips were smaller, but I guess it's in the details. My Greddy is 4.5", but they're also straight cut. Inside diameter is notably larger, and I guess just gives the illusion of being bigger overall.

Here's a few examples of the 5" so you can get an idea. In speedfreek's post, you can see what I'm talking about in reference to the illusion of the straight cut appearing larger.

Just get some metal trash cans and weld them up for tips. LOL
