The seat BASE for a single touring seat is $1800.

The only set I've seen for sale was from the Nismo Joke for $2700

NoLaKrewe 09-08-2014 12:42 AM

LoL. Doesn't believe us. Save your moneu. These seats are out 1800 dollars range.

I agree. To be honest, I REALLY like the way the airbag looks, lol
And they're Recaro Sportster CSs for the record

FLUJOKE 09-08-2014 01:03 AM

$1400 for one seat and NOTHING else on other websites.

Tack on the price from factory/made for it and airbags.

NoLaKrewe 09-08-2014 01:19 AM

It all adds up really quickly

chops 09-08-2014 11:37 AM

from someone with experience installing the juke nismo seats into a 370Z. save your money. go buy a pair of recaro sportster cs from vividracing or someone who resells/distributes recaro instead. you can get the non-airbag suede versions for ~1800 each pr less, brand new. all you need to buy are the seat brackets from wedgebrackets.com for ~200bucks and you're golden.

theDreamer 09-08-2014 11:50 AM

Also, the 2015 Nismo seats are only half new, the bottom half are the original seat from the 2014 (and previous) year just different material.
So best buy is to get the recaro CS which are the full top/bottom change, minus airbag.

Whathuh? Pics?

theDreamer 09-08-2014 12:00 PM

Lower half is the same cushion/bolster, top half is the recaro seat. The Juke Nismo gets a full recaro seat I believe.

Kinda, the OEM seats have the middle hump, while the Recaros don't. And the Recaros are a bit longer

BUT the Joke ones are a bit more bolstered on the bottom and the 370Z ones retain the up/down feature

Looking at it again, it looks like they cheaped out on the 370Z one big time. The passenger seat doesn't look the same as the driver's one, LOL

Yeah, they added a little support on the driver versus the older seat but it is honestly the same base, Nissan really did say FU to the 15 Nismo seats.

That's even still a lot of money. And what's everybody talking about airbags for when I'm talking about seats? R airbags in the seats?

Buying seats is a costly experience. It's far from cheap but it's well worth it in my opinion. Honestly, their is no way to escape the price and if you do it probably won't be worth it in the future. Think long term here.

yes...all stock seats have airbags built into them. when you get into an accident they will deploy up to your head/shoulder area. by going with an aftermarket seat you almost always lose the seat airbags.

DYNAZOR 03-23-2015 10:52 PM

Well, here's to dredging up old topics.
I went to the local Nissan dealer to see how much it would cost to purchase the seats from the 2015 370Z NISMO for my 2015 370Z Sport, if they would even sell them in the first place (restricted part?).
The parts guy was very helpful , showed me the computer screen as he called up the parts exploded view, which included the list price for all the parts. HOLD ON TO YOUR HATS BOYS (AND GIRLS):
The upper seat (cushion/back, etc): about $3,650!
Lower seat (cushion & assoc. parts, but not frame): about $3,350!
That's right, $7K for ONE seat, or $14K for both. And there may still be some assorted additional parts required that the parts guy wasn't sure came with the 2 major parts.

So even though the seats aren't NISMO "restricted" parts, Nissan ensures they are considered that way through exorbitant pricing.
I could care less about the NISMO logo, I just want the seats.

For what it's worth, the NISMO Juke seats can be had for about half the price of the 370Z NISMO seats, still too much for my blood.

ufoz8mycow 03-23-2015 11:57 PM

Or you can just get the Recaro Sportster CS for between $1400-2000 per seat and its literally the exact same thing minus the airbags. You could even have a shop embroider a couple Nismo logos on them for you for a few bucks more. Bing bang boom.

DYNAZOR 03-24-2015 09:32 AM

Thanks. I'm going to look into that. I don't even want the NISMO logo. Not too sure about giving up the air bags though.

The sporster CS is the exact same seat, and fun fact the Nismo 370z seat is actually just the back piece where the lower portion is the older seat. Where the Juke Nismo RS seat & sporster CS seat has the higher bolster lower section which gives a more snug fit.

But also makes it more of a pain in the *** to get in and out of on a daily basis.... Years ago during my days of youthful indiscretion I used to daily drive with Bride Brix 2 seats and getting in/out of a low *** car with those high *** bolsters got old really quick. They sure held you in place nicely though!
