Did anyone manage to get the inserts CF wrapped with resin?

I saw pics I think in this thread of one person with them wrapped

What about having a shop get id for the hole for the lights. That would probably be a lot cheaper than buying the DRLs. Here's a quick photoshop of what I am talking about.

That's not to bad actually

could probably save almost 1k going this route instead of the DRLs

That's what I'd like to have done as well. It'll require some raw material and bondo. The drawback is risk of cracking from flexing and temperature changes.

So to those who installed this kit, is it as simple as remove old bumper, attach new one or are there some extra bits that go underneath that need to be replaced as well? How easy is it to install yourself?
|
have we already established that the 13+ base DRLs do not fit that opening, so no matter what, you have to buy new DRLs if you want them?
|
Or leave the holes open (as most have done) or shave/fill them in as per brucelidat. or fab your own DRL's.

:yum: want to see more

Can you install this bumper with the Zspeed undershroud?
|
Anyone mechanically inclined and access to a 3D printer? Perhaps one can create a mold that can be bolted onto the bumper, but also be able to rig one of these up:
X.DRL - LED Lighting From The Retrofit Source That's what I would do if I wanted to install DRLs. Bleh, but hey it's cheaper than the OEM ones. |
