I wouldn't have gone that far but I do think that the Nismo is too performance orientated for the "slammed on dished wheels" look.

That one is definitely not to my taste.

Someone's real nismo yes, just with work wheels and lowered.

Here's another photoshop of what it might look like without the LEDs and with some mesh in their place.

Does the fender plastic add-on mean you don't need new fender liners?

Yes, according to Juan. Apparently the bumper is slightly wider then stock so the add-ons fill that gap.

I also wondered if someone could confirm 100% whether the centre section is just left unpainted or if this is supposed to be painted. In some pictures it looks like the finish is good enough just to leave and it others not so much.

Cheers

I tried to find the paint code to the center part but no one seemed to have it. The bumper unpainted doesn't look good enough to be left alone when you see it in person. I was comparing it to the center of my stock bumper and it didn't look good.

Thats what I was thinking, was that from the look of it, it's going to need painted, now the question is....matt black, satin black, dark grey trim paint?!? haha

If anyone does come across the paint code I'm sure we would all find it useful, and I will try to find out from my dealer too.

Cheers,

Dan

So does a real Nismo come with fender liners the same as a stock 370z but with the extenders?

Maybe if anyone has connections at Nissan they could check if the fender liner part number is the same for both Nismo and Stock?

Not sure if it comes with the extenders or not. We could ask someone in the nismo section if they can take a picture of the front inner tire wells. The extenders only cost like $50.

Doesn't look like one, the fender flares are missing and the mirrors are different, they don't have the red stripe. It's looks more like a 2015 conversion kit, I don't know, something just looks off to me and the wheels look horrible on this car.

I like the red stripes on the front inserts. Maybe I should try it and see how it looks on a white car.

Just got the bumper back from paint. Shaved the nismo badge holes.

Also got the inserts back. Wrapped by Imperial Works in Sacramento.

Any installed pics yet? Are you doing anything with the DRL holes (leds or mesh) or just leaving them open?

I'll probably put it on in the next week or 2. Was going to wait until I get the rest of my CF parts clear coated before installing everything.

I wanted to see how the bumper looks installed without the DRL's. If it looks weird I'll just bite the bullet and order them.

370z209 12-07-2014 01:52 AM

I did try test fitting the front inserts.
