cooltoy 06-10-2014 10:13 PM

Nice. Are these available now?

zefaulter 06-10-2014 10:19 PM

Nice, where did you get this from? how much?

cooltoy 06-10-2014 10:43 PM

Maybe it's a 2014. Same wheel I think.

shaun66 06-10-2014 11:43 PM

noice

EVOR 06-11-2014 01:46 AM

Yea, I think it might be a 2014. cuz his Nismo rear foglight is a cup not like 2015 as one on bumper. This is direct from Japan.

chops 06-11-2014 02:59 PM

can you get more? :)

Duc_Z09 06-11-2014 03:10 PM

I like it a lot, but probably not enough to open my wallet that far.:p Maybe I'll make one.:rofl2:

I believe the sides are not leather, but something else also.
Depending on how much Nissan charges it will probably just be cheaper to have a local shop do this.

EVOR 06-11-2014 08:10 PM

I got it for about US$500. You can order new one from Nissan. I'm sure will be a lot more.

Kenwoodturbo 06-12-2014 11:47 AM

Nissan spruce on things like a steering wheel are nuts. In USA likely that nismo wheel will cost 1300 retail. Yet I'm sure a 2015 zo6 steering wheel sans airbag will be $300. I bought honda leather wheels sans airbags for $160 bucks. But somehow even a base model nissan wheel retails for a grand.

Anyway I see on ebay someone selling refurb steeling wheels that copy this design. They ask $600 which is still nuts. But hopefully more people start doing this and drive down costs because that steering wheel and the reactors would be a nice addition to my 2013

People like me.... What are you trying to say. Lol Admittedly I can be overly cost conscious at times I just find the pricing to be way outta whack versus everyone else. I don't benchmark against Ferrari as that would be Like pricing a Rolex against a timex. If you could buy a Ferrari wheel for 300 you would see Honda civics all over rocking a Ferrari wheel. But forget nismo, look at a base model z wheel oem list. It's a mass production steering wheel not über limited highly sought after titanium/dry carbon/alligator skin/ with integrated iPad wheel.

EVOR 06-13-2014 08:44 PM

Since I'm keeping my Nismo for life, I'll collect and install all Nismo goodies on my 09' #080

In that case shouldn't you keep it as close to stock as possible?

Yep, but anything can upgrade to newer version Nismo. Or anything hard to get I'll replace.

Imperial 06-14-2014 11:24 PM

Doesn't the Nismo Juke use the same steering wheel?

EVOR 06-15-2014 10:00 AM

Yea and same seats

just ignore him.

chii370 06-15-2014 12:06 PM

he has a point though. If stupid people keep paying 1050 for it, nissan will keep charging 1050 for it. He is absolutely right, its a mass produced part sold at a premium. My first job when I was 16 was best buy geek squad "lulz now" and I remember the manager saying their #1 proffit bringer AT THE TIME was car audio. Between 200-500% markup from what BB got the equipment for. Stupid consumers=stupid prices. And smart fat cats bank on that. So instead of complaining how expensive it is, stop buying it or like products "on a mass scale" and that will force prices down. I want one too, and the seats. But you have better luck just buying them straight from Recaro and customizing them by the time nissan gets done inflating the greed price.

Price is the price.

Steering wheels for other cars, S Audi's, M cars etc are all similar or significantly more $$.

The prices are paid for 90% of OEM parts by insurance co's and dealers so for in repairs etc, its driven by a market.

If Nissan sells 20, 2015 Nismo steering wheels to private consumers in the USA in a year, I'd be surprised if its that many. We can't move the market on the price for something like this.

KMO-II 06-30-2014 09:35 AM

They came on my 2014 as well.. The sides are suede.. Pretty nice, doesnt get hot on those scorching hot days eiather.

I've been having a hard time trying to find any custom upholstery shop that will wrap a steering wheel in alcantara or anything for that matter.

at least not around me in SWFL

well, what you do is buy their cover for 100 something, then have a local installer sew the new one on! I have a spare steering wheel I might be putting up FS so keep an eye out if you wanna go that route :p

Oh really? PM me if you want to sell it! I'll buy it ASAP! I've asked 2 different vendors about getting a custom wheel done and I get a price and no further dialogue.

RBfastback 07-27-2014 08:53 AM

good idea I'll look into that, thanks

aszyd 07-27-2014 09:31 AM

There is also the full custom route of YOUR DESIGN OUR WORKS. Galeforce has one of their wheels, it's quite nice, also quite expensive. I'm still trying to decide if I want to pull the trigger on one.

DarkJak 07-27-2014 11:15 AM

Felt this wheel up in a couple of nismos at auto shows. The red bit is an individual piece so you can feel the indentations on the sides. It looks really good in person. Much nicer than our normal boring black wheels. $1000 is def too much though. It's still the same shape as normal steering wheels.
