Painted some interior pieces.

I had an idea and said the hell with it. I painted some pieces to match my red and black exterior. I have a couple other certain pieces to do. I'll post them up when I'm done.

When I saw interior peace, I was thinking you painted the Dalai Lama.

It looks like your Z has a boner they way parking brake is set. Perhaps because of that denim clad passenger?

Could be, I couldn't think of another reason why it would get so hard. :icon17:

I sure will. I'll post up links and everything required as soon as I get a chance. I'm currently on my cell phone and much rather use a desktop for a couple copy/paste links and faster post.

:iagree: OP, such swagger. Please post how you did it as I want to eliminate silver interior parts.

I was a bit worried by the title, but that looks great. Nice accents without being too "loud". Excellent painting job as well.

Riptide67 03-24-2014 08:19 PM

I'm digging it. Nice work!

kazman 03-24-2014 08:25 PM

looks damn good chief!

Mr. Swank,

Judging by how far up your EBrake is pointing, it seems to me that maybe it's out of adjustment a bit. There are links here that tell how to adjust it, mine normally won't go past 35-40 degrees from horizontal. Just a friendly observation.
Interior looks great, but you got to have pro friends to paint that well.

I never knew about the e brake adjustment. I never had a problem with it. I'll look into it.

I do have a friend that paints well but these pieces were done by me in the comfort of my own home! Thanks!

You can easily scuff it up and prime/base/clear coat it anyway you want. I'd match it to your cars exterior color.

[QUOTE=///PureSwank;2766540]Which pieces specifically?

Rings on the center guages mainly! I've been curious to see what red would look like in there and now that I got red LEDs in the floor board I might just have to get this done

I pretty much followed these steps.

http://www.the370z.com/diy-section-d...e-cluster.html

Once your done removing the covers everything else is just 3 clips away from removing every silver piece. It's all down hill from there. You can see where exactly to push down to release the clips at that point.

ElVee 04-04-2014 10:22 AM

So many red circles...and no red GTR start button?! :)

TheGreatOne 04-04-2014 10:26 AM

Nicely done

At first I wasn't sure like someone else said, I remember back to the days of painting interior pieces on my Honda Prelude...what a shiet show haha.

But you did it right, picked the right pieces and just enough. Really good with the red

Meulen 04-04-2014 10:35 AM

Nice! Personally, I like the red accents as opposed to the red GTR button

Yeah, I wanted to avoid that. I'm happy with the outcome.

Very nice

I did my shift ring a long time ago, but Gun Metallic is too subtle of a change from the silver to have any real impact without doing all the parts you did. The red is powerful regardless of how many pieces are done. And they look great en masse :tiphat:

One thing that held me up from doing all the pieces was taking everything apart. Do the trim rings (like on the three gauges and the door AC vents) remove easily? How difficult was it to remove the interior door handle pieces?

Door handles were easy. As well as the rest. The triple gauges located on the top middle were the most difficult. You really do t get to much room to play with. With the right tools (panel removers) you'll be good to go brother.
