So I noticed something about the last NIMSO Z photos that Nissan released last year and I've been wondering if anybody knows anything about the fender trim that this car has...

I was thinking about trying something like this:

Black Carbon Fiber Wheel Well Fender Trim Molding DIY Kit 5 8" Wide Universal | eBay

But I don't want it to look cheap. Thoughts and/or suggestions?

Those will make your car LOOK cheap.Don't do it.
Also,by doing the wheel well arches in a dark color,it will make your
wheels look smaller/give wheel gap.
I'm not a fan of the Amuse style front fender inserts. To me,anything
that looks "clipped-on" to a car just does not blend.
What are you trying to do?What is the reason for the trim?Give more
definition to a part, lower the look etc.?

the main purpose of these are so that if you run aggressive offsets on rims and they "poke" out just a bit, you can run the fender trims to help with the road sling problem and so that it wont throw tiny rocks at your car or the cars behind u.... these are actually really popular in japan....

The liners are such a great touch! But they are quite pricey.

No ebay ones for me btw. I guess my baby stays the way she is....

I don't really get the point of these fender liner things but what I really like about Simota's car is the way the paint extends the lines of the headlights up the fenders.. Very cool touch.

See post #18 for the explanation.
