GANADOR SUPER MIRRORS REVIEW by SIMOTA1 ;)

Hey everyone i thought id put this together since i dont think much people are rocking these mirrors....

Construction: The quality of the construction of the mirrors are absolutely amazing. Top notch all the way around. the base of the mirror is aluminum and i cant tell but im pretty sure the shell is also aluminum and not plastic... these babies are plenty heavy... almost as heavy as the oem stock ones....

Installation: took me about 5 mins per mirror.... it was a breeze :happydance: the best part is they come with a harness all you have to do is unplug your old mirror and plug the ganadors in :driving: and yes these babies are FULLY POWERED... so when you adjust the mirrors you adjust them from the oem side mirror knob

Lenses: although the mirrors are a little bit smaller than the oem ones.. the view of them are great :D they are convexed on the ends of the mirrors so it really helps with blind spots :happydance: however these do not curve as hard as the craftsquare mirrors.. NOW those babies are like HELLA convexed man when i had those mirrors they were like looking at a magnifying glass...

so what would i rate them? 9 outa 10.... if your wondering why not 10 outa 10? well because there is only one thing wrong... the fake CF paint... i absolutely hate fake cf... thats why i rate it a 9  HOWEVER i must say that i am impressed by the "paint cf" it looks pretty damn convincing against my varis hood ;) originally i was gonna repaint them black.. but after i installed them... i am ok with how they are....

now onto the pictures!!!!

https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.n...25881535_n.jpg

lastly there are 2 versions of this side mirror.... one with signal and one without signal... i opted for non signal so that it wouldnt be so many lights blinking when im signaling.. i think the fender z signal is good enough

Jasonle 10-05-2013 08:45 AM

Looks gooooood!

axmea? 10-05-2013 09:04 AM

Thanks. I was looking into this. I saw a picture of a PW with a set of these and looked really good. I like the shape and the size. Our oem mirrors are slightly larger for my liking. These mirrors look magnificent so good job on your purchase. I could not tell if they were powered or not and you answered the question. Another down side, it is just expensive. Same as the price of JDM tails. You got it from bulletproof? Also, I thought you were dead set with Technosquare, what made you change your mind?

Shadezz 10-05-2013 10:33 AM

Sick Made...nice Review buddy!! (" think the car makes the mirrors though")

Felix 808 10-05-2013 12:32 PM

Those look much better than your Shrek ears http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/smilies/lol.gif How's that little cutaway window, is it functional at all? Good to hear these are direct power replacements, might be an option for me later down the line. Thanks for sharing as always :tiphat:

6MT-Z34 10-05-2013 01:03 PM

Nice review!!

Its good that you still have the power mirror options, but I would like to know if you still have the heated option as well?

i got these directly from japan... however i am confident bulletproof can get them for you with out a doubt  when i ordered the craftsquares directly from craftsquare i had to wait over 3 months... which is fine right? However i ordered the short arm version but was sent the long arm version. When they arrived i was so dissapointed because i felt the short arms flowed better with the z....Craftsquare told me i could send it back and theyll send me the correct version but would have to wait 3 months again. I told them nvm ill just live with the long arm version.... long story short when i found my top secret bar i sold 3 things to raise funds... my original plan was which ever sells first in the 3 things.... what parts that didnt sell i would keep.... well they all pretty much sold all in the same time :bowrofl: so then i told myself i would order the short arm version... but i did more research and came across that PW z your talking about.... and i loved it.... i asked almost all of my z friends on fb what they thought... some hated it... and some loved it.... when i did more research on the forum... i found archives on these mirrors when BP brought them up for interest.... those threads came crashing down from everyone saying they were absolutely ugly.... i think the only reason why the mirrors looked ugly on that z was cuz the rims were hella ugly and not to mention the lip kit made it look like a rx8 :icon17: price wise i still think its worth it though ;) jdm is always expensive but the quality is always there...i would like to add the price is a little bit cheaper than craftsqaure :D when i found out they were powered THAT sealed the deal and wrote it in stone... the craftsqaure took me 1 hour and a half to adjust correctly....get out of my z adjust.... sit back down.... check.... i did this about 30 times almost.... by the time i adjusted it i was exhausted from adjusting it not the install LOL

Props for trying them, i don't anyone has done these yet on a Z here no offense man but i think you should have kept your craftsquare mirrors.

 no problem man... i know these mirrors arent for everyone..

JARblue 10-05-2013 07:38 PM

Those mirrors definitely aren't my style, but they sure look good on your car, Simota

Any chance you have a photo that compares the size with an OEM mirror? They look smaller, but maybe not significantly so.

No worries  I'm surprised they are that much smaller. That's great. One thing I really don't like about the OEM mirrors is they are big enough they interfere with my forward vision occasionally.

this one time i was turning left and my damn mirror blocked my view i almost hit someone.... i was so angry at the mirror... from then on i was always paranoid.... so i wanted to change them after that day

UruZai 10-05-2013 10:19 PM

Great write up, those are some interesting mirrors. Never seen that style on a Z before but they look pretty good. Would you say those mirrors are more convexed than the OEM ones? (And yes I know the OEM are barely convexed :icon17:)

sparky 10-05-2013 10:46 PM

Nice review Simota........They're lookin good. Anything smaller is better than the ridiculous OEM mirrors. They should almost be deemed a hazard. I feel stupid sitting in traffic next to an SUV with smaller mirrors than mine. :shakes head:
I've been debating these or the craftsquare, where can these be ordered from?

Exactly!! I have been surprised by more than one biker and pedestrian that appeared out of nowhere thanks to the OEM mirrors :ugh2:

simota- oh ic... so that's why you sold them. i was wondering cause you were so into the CS mirror before.

yah, for me, i got the short arm version CS (photoshopped in my picts ofcourse cause i have no mods! :icon17:) and wouldn't have it any other way for my application since i had trouble seeing over the stock mirror while making left turns. it was a matter of time before i run over a dumbarse bicycle ridor. :rofl2:

how is the view while making left-hand turns with these new mirrors? :) i might look into these in the future as a re-fresh.
im going to japan next year anyway, be a nice suvenier to bring back. :icon17:

370Ztune 10-07-2013 10:52 AM

ahhh, hope it clears up soon.

is the glass the same on both the driver and passenger side? want to make sure so that it's not reversed. the CS mirrors had the same wide angle on both sides so i just had to get use to the driver side vs oem early on. :icon17:

what i did was make a mold of both vents... made the shape with FG and bondo and had my painter shoot it jet black  and the leds are eagle eye LED's... they are pretty bright and help me at night... ;)

simota1 10-08-2013 04:30 AM

back to topic.... i drove my z today... to test out the mirrors  IMHO the craftsquares have a better convex view... you literally dont move your head from how badass the view is... however over the stock mirrors the ganadors by far have a better view... you just have to move your head just a little bit... rather than breaking your neck on the oem mirrors :bowrofl: the convex definitely makes a huge difference over the oem mirrors best part.. the size of the mirrors eliminates the blind spots... and the hole doesnt make noise... i took it up to 70MPH :D no whistling at all.... here are some pictures of it a bit further and behind.... i hope you enjoy them as much as i did
