Oh. Mine's not a DD. It'd be a miracle if my Z saw sunlight for more than a week out of the year LOL. It sits inside a showroom/warehouse most of its life haha.

So you're saying you DON'T have blizzzaks for the Z then... :p

Stopped by my paint shop today and decided to let them do it professionally. $100. I think it's reasonable and they use the top of the line clear coat. Problem solved. :)

Sweet! can you pm me which shop you used?

Am I going to run into any problem taking the wing off the car? specifically the 3m tape. I'm thinking of using a heat gun to make the process easier.

yah, definitely be very careful how you pull up cause the resin can crack.
just take your time.

Yeah I was kinda pissed when I got my mines add on also. I thought what a pos. it sucks doing the whole jdm thing when u can get knock offs less than half the price with better craftsmanship :shakes head: I'm gonna just fill mine in with bondo to make it look like one big wing and wrap over it. Sucks it cost so much to just do that but I wanted to stay jdm. I hope prepping and clearing it works out for you OP

Yea the owner said he'll be able to make the haze parts disappear. I'm getting it done next Monday. I'll keep everyone posted.

Took the wing off using heat gun. Took about 15mins. These tapes really do the job. They just won't come off easy. I will be dropping off the wing tomorrow morning. Hopefully the shop won't take too long. My car looks weird without the wing now lol.

I'm going to a shop (Jungs Auto) in Walnut, CA. Supposedly they do a lot of work for Evasive motorsports. I just left it today and I'll let you know how they did once it's finished. Fingers crossed lol.

I just picked up the wing after having a shop put a clearcoat. They couldn't do anything about the yellowish haze because it's forming from inside and sanding it from outside will not take care of it. They did say that it won't get any worse than it is now which is a good news. But I know now to clearcoat every CF parts as soon as I make the purchase. Wish I knew sooner but it's too late for regrets lol. I will have to see how it holds up.

sounds good. worst case, i'd spray it with a very mild tint. that will give it the grayscale hue back vs yellow. :)
