Is this true?

Sorry but I dont really want to say who did them on the forums and escalate things anything further. I got my money back, so I'm just going to go elsewhere now. Done deal.

nogoodname 08-16-2013 08:41 PM

Would be nice to know so others won't have to deal with this garbage work.

They have to be given a chance to redeem themselves.

By saying he's being picky is there redemption. Time to put these shops out of business. I'm tired of lazy people getting paid well to only due shi$$y work. I'd question if they even sealed the lens back properly. I could of done better with a spray can blind folded.

I agree man. It helps the community when we know who to avoid because of shoddy work.

There's a reason when crimes are committed, they go on someone's permanent record, to warn others. Seems harsh, but it's the right thing to do, because records are statement of facts and not slandering.

OP, your leniency may allow for a few more of this to happen. You came to the forum for support, now it's time to return the favor and inform the forum.

maybe he thought you wanted black hammertone?

A quality shop should be able to stand behind it's work, or at least I believe so. Call me old fashioned. :tiphat:

I sent my headlights to Daedalus Customs in Maryland and they've been sending me pics each day as they complete the work. From what I've seen so far they're doing a great job. They really take their time and make sure its right. I am awaiting the final product this week. In the past Daedalus has had to fix other shops work so maybe consider contacting them too. Might be good to have a couple options as far as getting your headlights fixed. Daedalus has great prices for everything and is cheaper than some of the other shops that do the same work.

I hope everything turns out ok with your headlights. I would be totally pissed too. Glad to hear you got your money back. That's ridiculous what you got back.

PM me who the shop is if you aren't comfy with spreading the word. I am in dire need of a headlight fix, but being in SoCal, I have a 50/50 chance with picking this shop :(

That's what I would really worry about. The number of shops that do this kind of work are very small so if you're in that area I would definitely want to find out too so that you don't run into the problem. I understand not wanting to throw a shop under the bus by not disclosing the name however when you can save others from dealing with the same issues I definitely would disclose it.

What I don't get is how this so called businessman thinks it is ok to tell a customer he was being picky? Clearly when a customer expresses concern about their work there is a problem to be solved. This so called businessman did not assess the situation for the OP properly nor did he consider how quick the forum will react and respond. He just signed his death certificate. All he has to do is fix this and rebuild the trust that was lost but chose to criticize the OP. He probably does some work in other forums so if someone knows this for a fact, it's time to spread the word. That is if he does not redeem himself.

Oneighty does good work and theyre paid vendor here. And If youre in socal, you can contact paperboy for light work, please support your paid vendors guys. However, if you like to know another option beside the two mentioned above, pm me and i can direct you to my own source, theyre not a vendor here so i cant post it publicly.

I'll Bite!

RaulGcustoms was Banned as a member here

He was shown the door for peddling his headlight work thru his ''Hey look at my work'' pics. :shakes head:

I was warned by a Member that he does this on other Forums, And so he was asked to become a valid vendor

At which WE were ignored, And the rest is history.

For the Op

Im very happy to hear you got a refund and moved on.

Let us know how they turnout. :tiphat:

DEpointfive0 08-17-2013 11:01 AM

I was told from a member that got a PM from the OP that it was Raul G

RedZed34 08-17-2013 09:48 PM

Hey guys. Sorry I didnt get back on here sooner. I was at a car show all day today, even though I wasnt able to bring my own car as planned :(

Anyway, after reading more of the most recent posts from you guys and later finding out that the shop was actually banned from this forum, seems I have no choice but to finally let everyone know who did the work on my headlights. It's only fair for the awesome support I received on the forums! So, it was in-fact RaulG Customs in SoCal.

My intentions were not to to bash him publicly on the forums (although he deserves it for the way he treated me), but to simply get peoples responses to the headlights after him calling me "too picky". I even tried to do the "right thing" and contacted him again suggesting he make a post and own up to his work. But I was completely ignored and he obviously failed to do so. This whole experience was just unbelievable and I hope no one else ever has to deal with it.

But at this point, I'm just glad I got my money back and I can now move on from this unfortunate situation. So thanks again everyone for your support, suggestions and help! Really appreciate guys! :tiphat:
