Amuse kit with Nismo skirts (what do you think). Photoshoped.

I thank gtkiller for the pictures. Sorry for bastardizing your car.

I have been concern with how low the Amuse skirts are in the back. I have heard comments about scrapping in that area.
So I have been trying to match the Amuse with various skirts (not blades), but nothing looks right.

However after seeing this picture, I got to thinking that Nismo skirts might be the answer. I did some photoshops, please let me know what you think.

The pic that I saw:

Looks ok. I don't think it flows as well...

It's hard to beat those Amuse sides :)

6MT-Z34 08-13-2013 01:15 PM

The second photoshop makes it look good but by looking at the first and last photoshop it doesn't flow as well

I agree with both.

speedfreek 08-13-2013 02:20 PM

If I were going to swap out my sideskirts and not put the full Amuse kit on then I would look at the Stillen ones.

Arrvaxx 08-13-2013 02:26 PM

Kind of surprised by the dislikes. I think it flows fine.

kenchan 08-13-2013 02:58 PM

i like them both, but i'd probably prefer the amuse sides with that bumper.

Jasonle 08-13-2013 03:06 PM

amuse side :)

TenaciousZ 08-13-2013 03:28 PM

Add the carbon signal nismo add on pieces to the side skirts and it would look really good.

It would add some black/carbon to the sides to accent the front bumper - really bring it all together.

TerribleONE 08-13-2013 03:48 PM

Not terrible but not great either.. I prefer the Amuse sides.

I had that same thought.

So do I, but I am worried I'll damage them in my drive way. Even if I go in angled.

The Amuse definitely hangs pretty low. Does anyone know how much lower the Nismo skirts are compared with the base/sport body?

cooltoy 08-13-2013 04:06 PM

I was under the impression that they were pretty close. From another thread.

So yeah, I can tell you the ride height is about the same. But since the Nismo front is longer and doesn't go upwards up front like the non-nismo front, it makes the nismo closer to the groud and far more easier to get scraped.

Amuse370z 08-13-2013 05:11 PM

Go Varis

Apoc370z 08-13-2013 07:59 PM

How about varis and zele? I would love to see those. Personally i wanna try the zele side with amuse rear

cooltoy 08-13-2013 08:22 PM

I have tried those. I can post the pics if you like. They all seem a bit off.

That would be great :tiphat:

cooltoy 08-13-2013 11:15 PM

Didn't do Zele. Didn't think it would look that good I guess.

Stillen on red.

Here is a guy in Thailand who has combines Varis and Amuse. I was considering this set up seriously, but thought that maybe there was too much going on in the Varis skirts, not as clean as I prefer.

ah i agree, varis is too busy..

too bad you dont have zele, i would mind seeing how it looks.

How about Sunline side skirts? I think you are running out of options here

Shadezz 08-14-2013 07:22 AM

How about putting the Nismo S-tune sides with it? I love my Nismo S-tune kit!!!

cooltoy 08-14-2013 09:27 AM

Nismo-S skirts come to a sharp point in the front, which in my opinion would not look good with a smooth side edge of the Amuse (in my opinion).

Same reason I thought Zele or Sunline would not work. I am fully prepared to go with Amuse skirts, just thought Nismo would be a reasonable compromise.

I'll most likely get the Amuse, since Nismo skirts don't come up for sale that often. But I'll keep my eye out for a set , if the Amuse does not work out.

speedfreek 08-14-2013 09:29 AM

I still like the Stillen ones as a second choice over the Nismo if you don't go full Amuse.

cooltoy 08-14-2013 09:33 AM

0.5" difference between the Amuse front and front of the Stillen skirt. Might look off as the line will not line up across. But it is also an option.

6MT-Z34 08-22-2013 12:12 AM

Can you photoshop it with an s-tune side skirt?

cooltoy 08-22-2013 09:14 AM

I can, but it won't look right.

Amuse with Amuse definitely flows much better, just because most sideskirts have a strong line going front to back that doesn't get picked up by the bumpers.

cooltoy 09-04-2013 09:53 AM

You are right, I am not arguing that point. They were obviously designed as a kit. But the skirts are so damn low in the back. I am just looking for alternatives. So far Nismo skirts seem the best alternative.

I think it looks better with the nismo skirts

theDreamer 09-20-2013 01:33 PM

Could you do the original picture (grey amuse front & nismo rear) but with the Central 20 side skirts.

Central 20 skirts for you to use:

Honestly I'd say do the Nismo ones. The only time people are really going to get a good look at your side skirts is when you're not moving.... and more than likely the rest of the car is going to look so sick that they won't even mention the side skirts. On top of that I've had both sets of side skirts and the Amuse ones are really low. I haven't touched the suspension on my car at all and I couldn't even get on the lift at Firestone to balance my wheels. As long as whatever side skirts you throw on there aren't gaudy and brash, I think you'll receive nothing but compliments. Both side skirts are sexy, and unless someone really knows what they're looking at, they both will get you compliments.

theDreamer 09-21-2013 08:47 AM

Yeah, the central 20 suck, thank you for the photoshop.

6MT-Z34 09-21-2013 08:48 PM

How about the nismo ones with a cf side blade?

Cooltoy - although not bad, the amuse kit flows better.
