That looks tooooooooo Sweeeeeeet

H2O_Doc 06-09-2013 01:37 PM

We were talking about 370Zs in other countries at yesterday's meet-up. I don't see a ton of Zs (by whatever name) in England, and to see something like this would seem to this gringo to be unusual. We also live part-time in Peru, and folks there seem to think a 370Z is a super exotic. Of course, we won't actually take our own Z down.

FireDan50 06-09-2013 02:22 PM

Is that a "wrap" or paint?

Jasonle 06-09-2013 02:28 PM

wow that looks awesome!

didymus 06-09-2013 02:39 PM

Looks weird in the closeup, cant tell if it's just dirty or what.. remember reading about chrome paint a while back, IIRC it is quite pricy to do right

fairlady_z34 06-09-2013 03:14 PM

looks a bit dirty or what not up close but looks sick as hell from a distance

w0rM 06-09-2013 03:59 PM

That's a wrap. Not bad looking. Certainly an attention getter.

cooltoy 06-09-2013 04:09 PM

If that driver could only learn how to drive.

Wrap

peleincubus 06-09-2013 04:14 PM

I've been to most big cities in the world. And the amount of nice cars in London blows me away.

Unexpectedfar 06-09-2013 04:16 PM

TIL: I never want to drive in London.

Also reminded me of this

mag_black 06-09-2013 04:24 PM

Unique for sure, but not my style. It's very flashy.

Agreed. Really stunning cars. There are also the occasional English folks still remaining.

I'm getting a can of metallic paint right now and getting started

darkearth 06-10-2013 12:45 AM

That looks sweet

JungleZ 06-10-2013 02:16 AM

Dam I like that alot, but British people don't seem to like the "zed" in those dam British reviews

chrischhorn 06-10-2013 03:46 AM

I lost track of how many necks he broke........

I thought that was the Australians that used Zed constantly?

cooltoy 06-10-2013 09:17 AM

Any country that speaks English (not American ) says zed, because that is the proper pronunciation of that letter.

DIGItonium 06-10-2013 09:24 AM

It's not metallic paint. It's called "chrome plating." It's not really chrome either (Silver Nitrate), and doesn't have the harmful effects. It's a chemical treatment which is similar to how they make mirrors nowadays. Jay Leno had a segment as well. It's pretty neat. They can chrome plate plastics. It involves a clean base coat followed by the treatment, which appears to be water-based.

What I would like to see is this treatment followed by a bit of tinting for a black chrome effect to tone down the "bling" factor.

Here's one of the videos:

That has to be tough to keep clean in England, it's always raining there.
Nice though, but it needs chrome wheels.

Chrome 370z??

I have seen some great mods, not just functional but aesthetic of course, by many Z owners. However, I have NEVER seen a z like this before:

A killer and most unique look!

/Angelo350Z/ 08-16-2013 05:36 AM

Wow, not bad.

Wiggins3377 08-16-2013 06:43 AM

I think that looks terrible. A local shop wrapped their Chrysler 300 in chrome and its a eye sore.

tibal 08-16-2013 08:41 AM

Hmmmm.. I am indifferent on this one. For some reason, the shot where it is pulling away, it looks pretty wicked.

Agreed. It just looks like a really shiny silver Z. What's not to like?

kenchan 08-16-2013 09:30 AM

he should name it silver surfer!

blackcherry20 08-16-2013 09:38 AM

Lol! Not nearly as bad as I expected it to be.

mag_black 08-16-2013 10:00 AM

so ricer; makes the rest of us Z owners look bad. I wonder if the old timers that drive 240's, 280's, etc... think the new school Z owners are all ricers?

FairladyZ10PG 08-16-2013 12:00 PM

That is a road hazard
