roof replacement accident by the shipping company

Dont ask me how, but the shipping company damaged the roof and rear trunk lid on my z. Anyone know if the roof is steel or aluminum on our car? If the damage is bad enough, I am going to sell it

aluminum

rAiN 06-05-2013 04:51 PM

I thought we had a thread on recommendations for a good shipping Company....It seems like there aren't any...

I honestly don't know much as I haven't seen the car. They probably dropped a ramp on it or something when they tried to load the top. Sigh I know my $hit luck was going to begin somewhere. If the damage is heavy, I am going to get it fixed and sell it.

:shakes head: sucks

Incorrect. The roof is steel, as my magnetic race numbers stick to it. The aluminum parts are the doors, hood, and hatch.

Since I don't know anything in the new area, might as well look for the shop with the highest per hour charge to get it fixed. They were talking about giving me $40 a day for a rental, they better give me more than a Corolla.

$40 is pretty good if they have their own insurance rates

Where in SoCal are you?

cossie1600 06-05-2013 09:46 PM

$40 gets you a subcompact. I am in Nor Cal

$40 through insurance with a contract gets you a Mustang, potentially a 5.0 as well
And damn, I don't know any shops there

Steel and bottom line a hassle to fix. They stepped on it.
