There is a shop at keele and langstaff that I saw is doing a widebody 350. You could probably get a price from them for a custom kit.

Found the shop. They only build engines, he had the wide body done somewhere in London.

run a 295 and you can go down a little lower too. and check your toe cause thats probably what is tearing up your tires so quickly.

cheap widebody option grab some s30 flares and do a test fit, see if it flows and cut those quarters.

or you can usually get away with milling the back pad about 3-5mm's without weakening the wheel. and with that i think you'd be fine.

I can't go any lower, the coilovers are already bottomed out. And I wanna go with the proxies, which is a much fatter tire.

I guess so far my best option is to go custom... Hopefully I can get the process pics from UAM soon, as I've found a couple guys in my area who may be willing to tackle the challenge. :)

dirTy_shoeZ 05-09-2013 12:46 PM

what coils are you on that you cant go lower? if you feel like your only option is custom then you answered your own question.

The welded on fenders is turning people away I bet.

VeilSide has kit if that's your cup of tea

Tamon also has one, but its like $27k (but sexy as hell).

DjSquall 05-09-2013 02:57 PM

I know veilside's is an option, and I do like the kit. I still gotta do some shopping around and figure out what's the better way to go. Seems either way, I'll be out another $10k or so. Bummer :(

Shouldn't be tearing up rubber like he is. I've got 315 on stock alignment specs. No rubbing or issues at all.

iceman21_23 05-10-2013 01:27 PM

yea but you probably are running proper offsets, his aren't but still shouldn't be tearing up tires that fast even at -4.5 his toe is probably off.

DjSquall 05-10-2013 01:52 PM

As far as toe, I'll have to check but I doubt it. It's mainly my aggressive driving. And the tire wear is even on all sides. I jacked up the car last night, and studied the quarter panel construction, I may be able to crush some of the metal to make a huge flare, and reinforce it with a titanium plate that I can get made. I'll have to take it to a dealer or body shop to see if that can be done though.

I have been working with DJ on his tire issue. Part of it is driving habit lol he even admits he thrashes his car on the daily. I have sent him over pictures of some behind the scenes shots of the process and discussed in length the process to widening the fenders and keeping the oem look.

Right now he is going to try to flare the rear fenders and reduce the camber. He will definitely need to look at his toe settings... I bet that is one of the main reasons he is running through tires. Raising the car a half inch will also help in more ways than one.

He is in good hands boys
