Front Lip options for 2013

Hi Guys,

I did my fair bit of research came to the conclusion that no one has take any initiative to develop a front lip for the 2013 front bumper.

So I'm here to confirm my doubts with you guys and ask if 12' and earlier 370z after market front lip would fit w/o issue.

I like the 2013 front bumper but I like modding even more.. with the back bumper and side skirts being the same I'm good to go..however, can't image my ride being uncompleted due to stock front end..

Any thoughts to share?

It depends on the lip, but for the most part, you're not going to find a whole lot..if any. The only one I can think of the might fit is the ings+1 since it sits below all the contours of the 2012 and older facias. I'm just guessing though. Most of the lip kits available conform to the bottom of the bumper and no one has really posted anything on how different the shape of the '13 bumper is compared to the older style. With the amount of '13's out there, it's going to be a while before a company comes out with something, if anything. Your only choices so far is to do a custom fabrication to make it fit, replace the entire facia with an aftermarket and/or trade with someone with an older bumper.

Same thinking there.. I was eyeing the Ings+1 lip but it seems that the middle section is a bit different.
Being 2013 we like to show it off.. and if i'm going with the TE37SL then my only DNA for 2013 model would be the front bumper... doesn't make sense to swap. I would have to either:

a) wait for someone to do lip fitment and see the result ( or maybe a reliable shops could do the same and report back to us).

I would very much love my car to be the test mule for interested shop but I'm 8000km away :excited:

b) buy another LED light and bracket and ship them for my friends in Carbon signal to fit them on a raptor front end.

I'm digging option two.. but again.. I think its an overkill .. would love my car to have few adds on (front, side, back, spoiler) not a dramatic change

OEM OEM OEM leave as is. No kit, lip period just stance on rims and call it a day.

I was wondering this the other day. I think I am going to just run with the stock front bumper until I decide to pull the plug on the Carbon Signal Raptor w/LED. Since we purchased the 2013, might as well keep the DRL's as its really the only thing we have that the older models do not.

m4a1mustang 05-01-2013 01:03 PM

Nothing out there that I'm aware of. From a DD perspective, I'm leaving it alone. I already have to be very careful not to scrape in my driveway.

cooltoy 05-01-2013 01:27 PM

Need to get EVO-R on the case.

UruZai 05-01-2013 09:33 PM

I was wondering the same thing as well. I like the amuse front bumper but I don't want to lose the LED DRLs, it has grown on me. Hopefully someone will come out with a nice lip or something for us '13 owners

A little bird told me, that it is already work in progress..

Angermiester 05-02-2013 04:57 PM

I emailed Seibon the other day, I was told that they are planning on having some lips for the 13 model in about 2 months...

Donald@Carbonsignal 05-02-2013 05:42 PM

I was told by my boss we are also working on lip options for the 2013 Z. I have no other details beyond that though.

zilverbullet 05-02-2013 06:23 PM

Does anyone know if the Shine Auto rear spats fit the 13's?

Donald@Carbonsignal 05-02-2013 07:27 PM

They should as the rear is unchanged.

cooltoy 05-02-2013 08:02 PM

Rear is no different.

zilverbullet 05-03-2013 12:54 AM

Thanks!

jameeljoker 06-05-2013 09:41 PM

Any updates yet from anyone about that 2013 lip?

zilverbullet 06-06-2013 11:45 AM

Another Q:

Will the Stillen front lip fit the 13?

I'm getting hungry to change the front look, hope something cheaper than the amuse front comes soon or else I think I'll pull the trigger

Scone 06-06-2013 08:02 PM

What I did was take the OEM chin spoiler and moved it to the front. Cut out new holes and it looks decent

Man just bring the car, not that difficult to drive down from Qatar :), instead of Raptor we can do something really custom keeping stock bumper

dang370z 06-09-2013 03:10 AM

Something like this would be amazing. No idea if these are stock DRL or not.

Sorry no idea how to change the size of pictures, but you get the idea of DRL inside the vents.

CarbonSignal 06-09-2013 11:37 PM

does seem stock to me, aftermarket ones

Someone with amuse kit needs to get their hands on an LED strip and make that happen. :stirthepot:

ZBro16 06-19-2013 09:01 AM

sub'd. want some carbon fiber on my front, but something small. don't need a jay leno chin to attack curbs and driveways with.

CarbonSignal 06-19-2013 11:49 PM

Ok guys Z arrived yesterday working starting Saturday :)

We will be doing few Lips (more then one) and out new CS sides same as done for Nismo

/Angelo350Z/ 06-20-2013 01:05 AM

Someone from Z1 Motorsports said the 09-12 lips fit the 13. I really find it hard to believe.

awesome...i know a few people out here who will be really interested in a lip for the 2013 Z

/Angelo350Z/ 06-20-2013 05:18 AM

^^ +1

If the fitment isn't perfect, I might just have to save up for an Amuse kit. Hopefully something where the DRLs could be mounted.

zilverbullet 06-20-2013 01:16 PM

Go Carbon Signal! I can't wait... been dying for a lip change, the ings+1 minimal style looks really good. I wonder if it will fit the 2013 since it is on the bottom side
