370z Rear Fog Light Question

How much does it usually cost to get the Rear fog light installed? I saw couple posting online and it looks pretty difficult.

It's really simple actually. Goes on with double sided tape, you tap into 3 wires and you're done.

Oh really, cause I asked a local shop here to put it on for me and they charging me about $200 to take the whole back bumper out to install it. So guess you don't need to do all that huh

Good GOD no!

They are totally scamming you. To install a fog light, be it the OEM or EVO-R one, literally, will take you an hour, if you stop halfway through for a beer break.

Ya, the JDM version is really easy. Especially if you buy the jumper harness that Z1 one sells. Almost plug and play depending on how you want it to come on. I installed mine as a fourth brake light and just tapped into one of the tail lights.

I did it in 30 mins, and i have literally no experience in wiring at all. You dont have to take off the rear bumper at all unless you wanna do some crazy wiring

It will come with a little printout of what wires to tap into what wires based on how you want it do perform.

3 wires from EVO-R
Black
Red
White

Most people try to tap into the wires on the plug of a brake light, I found this to be incredibly time consuming and dangerous cause if you mess up, you might not be able to get enough wire to get to the plug. I pulled out the panels inside the trunk and found the pass through for the rear interior panel and tapped into the wires there. Instead of cutting/splicing, there are wire taps you can just clip on to both wires to save time. Super easy.

Can't remember off the top of my head which color does what, but the 3 wires you'll be looking for from the OEM side are:
Red
Orange
Green

Be careful not to cross any wires, or ground anything. Else you'll pop a fuse in a very hard spot to get to. Don't ask how I know...
