Porsche prices are not even that much.... I could do an entire body kit, painted, for less than that. There's no cost to quality value in that unless you have unlimited funds. And if you did, you sure as hell would not be in a Z.

Interested in CF! In for final pics

Any idea on possibly pricing for the inserts?

Sure man let me know, will be available soon to order.

Pricing haven't decided on, just to point few things, these need a bit of bodywork if anyone is looking to replicate Amuse hood. The vents we using and offer are not 100% copied it but just improved version of our previous design in terms of vent design and bodylines of the hood and yes more like current amuse hood.

As a mfgr you get paid to take risks by providing whiz-bang products...dont do that, take 3 months, get your money up-front, and someone will fill the gap more deserving of the business. jus sayin' I'm all ears CarbonSignal :)

I totally agree its impractical and unacceptable, but you are missing the point we don't manufacture Amuse kits but are selling on their behalf infact the first one to do so, since that time which is now two years there is always a waiting period of 6-8 weeks. What we have heard single amuse kit take a week to prepare and I feel with so much demand timeline i is a bit harsh but still ok.

It's the shipping times. They are in Dubai... Unless you plan on overnighting the parts on a plane and spending the thousands it costs, it's going on a boat. The prices for their stuff is fairly reasonable too. I'm not flaming, but just justifying the up to 3 month wait periods. Try waiting for parts from Japan... I'm sure Simota1 can tell you how long he waited for his hood and catch cans.

People dont see when paying shipping and the timeline when ordering from Japan but for us every single excuse comes up :bowrofl:. We stand behind our quality and time line is reasonable if we shipping direct to customers

DarkJak 07-14-2013 02:26 PM

Hows much does it usually cost for a bodyshop to install these vents? Cutting into my hood myself is too scary for me.

Might be cost effective to get a premade CF hood from them and sell the stock one then.

Thats what I plan to do. I wang full Cf hood with these vents.

cooltoy 07-15-2013 12:18 PM

I doubt you'd be able to mold these vents into a CF hood.

Unless you paint the hood after.

Nissanboy 07-15-2013 03:51 PM

I've been waiting for this hood
Also in for CF!

+1^^ also in for CF hood with these vents. Hopefully they offer it!

CarbonSignal 07-16-2013 02:51 AM

Ok car is done and leaving today below pictures will show the design a bit more clearly

Installing hood vents in stock hood isint such a difficult job, our guy takes 3-4 hours to finish it, main thing is to make the vents then bondo work which is another 3-4 hours so all in all a day's job if you have the vents

Damn that looks so sick!

theDreamer 07-16-2013 06:56 AM

Are the inserts you put in provided or an extra option? Also are they required or is there a way to easily put them in & remove them on bad days?
They look nice for those rainy days but still allow some air/water to vent through each way which is good.

Nissanboy 07-16-2013 05:29 PM

It looks good but the amuse one looks a little longer and more curved. Perhaps it's the angle of the photo?

cooltoy 07-16-2013 06:04 PM

For comparison.

Its not inserts we might do for this car but what you see in pictures is special mesh grill we use for hoods at times, holes are smaller, and these are fixed in the hood cant be removed

Honestly vents are pretty same its just the bodywork rest and we didn't copy it 100% kept it slightly different will have more pictures soon from inside and outside

So if I order the V2 hood inserts can I get it so there is no mesh, the vents are just fully opened?

Mr.Squeeze 07-27-2013 01:05 AM

Looks good:tup:

KaienZ34 08-09-2013 10:12 PM

I still love Carbon Signal's first hood like on Doc's car. I like the 2nd version with only two holes (1st pic) on each side instead of three the best.

There is already a CF one, amuse makes it and they don't make a Frp one. The amsue hood cost $6,400, that's the reason for this thread, to see if a Frp replica amuse hood can be made and sold cheaper.

giant881 08-26-2013 05:24 AM

amuse comapany want how many pcs can make FRP Hood ?
i can order 5 FRP hood for sure but i want to know price for FRP hood?
about 700 usd is good price for buy big lot.

There will be CF but I think will be hard for the bodyshop to install and mould it, for us no issues,

Wont be expensive at all haven't set any price but lets say 200ish? we are not releasing any price for this and new lip and side as trying to finish the nismo GB orders as I know once the price is out people start buying and we cant do unless we finish nismo orders within this week.

Amuse370z 08-26-2013 05:18 PM

Theoretically, you can wrap any pieces in real CF, correct?

If so, how much would it cost to wrap a hood with the inserts in real CF? Not that I would do it, but just saying.

Dont quote me for this but approxiamtely need a stock hood around 400$ new then add another 400 to make the design and 900 to wrap the whole thing in CF or 600 to wrap vents and paint.

No we aren't that much in selling replica items and avoid wherever ppssibleor. Our V1 hood came a year before amuse and v2 is revised and somehow looks similar

You should make an exception for this one item ;)
