i have not tried but if you know someone close to me with one i could look into it. it could possibly be the same setup. I could always send you a set and you let me know.

it would be 100 plus paypal fees.

Also an update the parts are on their way. i will verify them when they arrive and will start putting them together and let you all know.

exsanity 05-06-2014 11:28 AM

I will figure out the PayPal email and send payment tomorrow, Kelly.
Just FYI, the shipping address on my PayPal is wrong because I've moved since being deployed and PayPal can't verify my new address. :ugh:

Payment send, Kelly. exsanity@gmail.com

I put the shipping address in the payment info. Let me know if there were any issues.

kellyefields 05-12-2014 06:43 PM

zforce, sillyrabbit and exanity your orders shipped out today expect them in 2-3 days.

I currently have 17 sets left and they are ready for shipment. i will ship the next day after payement is received.

Here is the ordering information.

Ok from doing some looking it looks like all the parts come out to be right around 85. Here is the breakdown on how pricing will work.

Struts 28 x 2 = 56
brackets 5 x 2 = 10
Studs 2 x 3 = 6
nuts 2 x 1 = 2
forum payment = 5
MISC material = 6
Total price = 85

Then there is the shipping
East coast will be 10
Middle USA will be 15
West coast will be 20
Canada and overseas will be on a case by case basis

So overall it will be 95 shipped to East coast
100 to Moutain
and 105 to West coast.
and dont forget the paypal fees because that would come out of my pocket it you forget and I do accept tips.

To make a payment you can paypal me at kellyefields@yahoo.com
ensure you have your username and correct address so I can mark you as paid.

Silly Rabbit 05-12-2014 07:56 PM

Thanks Kelly
:happydance:

exsanity 05-13-2014 03:22 AM

Thanks for the update Kelly

Silly Rabbit 05-15-2014 05:00 PM

I think there was a mix up with the struts. The cylinder end socket is 8mm and the shaft end socket is 10mm, but both ball mounts are 10mm. Anyone else have this issue?

looks like some of the struts were done wrong. i am going through and checking the others i have right now. if they are wrong i will get with the supplier and get the right ones asap. might just switch out the ball bracket to make it easy.

kellyefields 05-19-2014 03:39 PM

Should I check my kit? I got the tube in back in October and haven't even opened it (Don't even have a Z yet... planning to buy one before I move to Tampa this summer).

ZForce 05-20-2014 11:59 AM

Ok...so my caps are mismatched...hopefully mine are in the mail.

EDIT: NVM saw the price a few pages back. Payment sent.

Nixlimited 07-07-2014 12:18 AM

For whatever reason, neither me nor SpecialtyZ was ever able to get these to fit right. They always cause a bulge in my hood. Back to the damn prop-up stick.

agoodcar 07-16-2014 07:45 PM

received mine today
thanks to Kelly E Fields

i have hood struts on my evo from rexpeed and the bulge is noticeable on the evo
but these hood struts fit great

i followed the instructions on the youtube video
jacked one side up installed the ball post with 1 washer centering the plastic underneath it

used the middle nut to install the hood post- the post facing toward middle of car

lowered car, did the same to other side
lowered car back down

the trickiest part is the hood strut i didn't believe would fit- it seemed too long in length when i attached the front post first, so i was working alone and lifted the hood with my head and physically compressed the strut shorter to push it onto the hood ball post.

that was hard but it worked and after 30 mins had the whole thing completed and no hood bulge.
fyi for others, it does fit great and works fine
maybe the hood strut expands a bit from being noncompressed it really seemed too long but after pushing it really hard to shrink it down it worked and it functions just fine

thanks!

i did a count of what i have left and i currently have 12 sets left. once these are gone i will not do another batch until I have at least 12 paid orders because i am unable to front the money for the kits due to financial reasons now. so if you want a set with no waiting let me know.

Jayhovah 08-05-2014 06:16 PM

Got mine installed!

http://www.the370z.com/members/jayho...-installed.jpg

LinPark 02-11-2017 06:52 PM

Hard to believe but I just installed mine today - got them just before a big move about 4 years ago and somehow the parts got separated - was finally able to find them all this past weekend - worked out great - the sound they make as the hood goes up is worth the cost alone - thanks!

Jayhovah 02-12-2017 11:24 AM

If anyone is still looking for this - I have a set that is just missing one ball mount... But have both the shocks and hood brackets. A trip to the hardware store and you would be all set.
