clamps/fastenrs

Attempting to take fuse out for sterring wheel lock problem. Is there an easy way to remove fastners from battery compartment area where circuit box is located at or do you just have to break them and replace.

If you mean the rivets they pop out with a flat head screwdriver quite easily.

If you mean the actual box that covers the fuse, there are two fasteners on the very bottom you press in and lift up.

You shouldn't have to break anything!

As Masa says, the "pop rivets" have a center piece that you should pop up with a small flathead screwdriver, and then you should be able to remove the entire clip. If you do break some, fear not, you can get them from your local shop, dealer, or online for incredibly cheap. I keep extras in the garage just in case.

If you are talking about the fuse box itself lifting out of the engine bay, again, Masa nailed it. There are two clips near the bottom that have to be released before you can pull the entire box straight up.
