This is why I love living in a state that doesn't do front plates! Personally I would have either gone to a state that doesn't drill for the front plate

This is why I love living in a state that doesn't do front plates!
Personally I would have either gone to a state that doesn't drill for the front plate or requested the dealer get one from a state that doesn't do front plates. The dealer does this when they do their "safety check" which FYI they will always forget to take the black plastic things off the springs in this check....
