Finally made the decision to wrap my 370. The shop just started today and here are a few progress pics.

Pretty interesting color choice. Some blacked out headlights would compliment the look, imo.

NickTurnon 12-04-2012 11:52 AM

YES YES YES!

This is awesome.

Sub'd for pics.

Whats Your Pricing? Also, plasti dip all the accessories (handles, rear view mirros, fangs, etc... The matte with matte black will look great!

bullitt5897 12-04-2012 11:58 AM

Looking Good!

TKomodo 12-04-2012 12:18 PM

Good call.

That is a very similar colour scheme to what I did with my Z.

Matte Silver Paint, accented with CF Side Skirts, and CF Accents on the front and rear bumper, Matte Black TE37's and painted my sport calipers red.

Best of luck with the project, can't wait to see how it turns out!

Looks like matte olive green (a military colour) to me.

I like the work they did into the door jamb. Can't wait to see the finished results.

RoshDawg 12-04-2012 02:22 PM

Wow this is going to look amazing. Love the color choice!

Dzel 12-04-2012 02:34 PM

It is a camo green color, I like it!!!

TKomodo 12-04-2012 02:51 PM

Dzel 12-04-2012 03:45 PM

Now what affect will the wrap have on the paint after it's been on the car for a good year or so? How hard is it to remove?

de_dust 12-04-2012 03:59 PM

how much does road rash, chips, and scratches show through the wrap?

fullmonty 12-04-2012 04:30 PM

This is sick in for pics/pricing

TKomodo 12-04-2012 04:32 PM

Vinyl manufactuters use auto finish friendly adhesives that won't damage the paint, assuming you have factory paint or high end custom paint. The wrap preserves the paint by sheilding it from UV rays, road grit, water spots from rain or sprinklers, bird crap and other contaminants. As far as rock chips, the wrap will provide a layer of protection to lessen the impact to the paint.

Mannysrt8 12-04-2012 04:47 PM

very nice

shaun66 12-04-2012 06:05 PM

Do you wash the car the same way with a wrapped car?

thanks... i was more wondering how much the wrap can possibly hide imperfections on the car pre-wrap... if you have chips, rash, and such, do you have to get the area repainted/filled first...

TKomodo 12-04-2012 06:15 PM

You wash the car with a mild soap, like you would normally. As far as existing chips, all imperfections will show through the wrap since it is only about 3-4mil thick. You would want to use touch up paint to fill the chips before hand. You can also get a clear wrap on the front, side skirts and mirrors to protect your paint.

Yep, I have the everything forward of the doors + rocker panels wrapped in a clear-bra. You literally cannot tell it's there (If you use a good shop)

I've had my secret custom 3M vinyl since August but just not sure what I'm going to do with it. I love the all black theme I have now and I just might end up wrapping it this winter.

TKomodo 12-05-2012 07:41 PM

Carbon fiber or matte green pilars? Left is green, right is cf.

Definitely carbon imo. Need to break up that color and I think that the carbon accents will really set it off. Looks great! Gold wheels in the future?! :p:thumbup:

RoshDawg 12-05-2012 09:51 PM

I think cf as well. Gold wheels would be nice, but I personally love the black ones you have on right now!

DarkJak 12-05-2012 10:37 PM

+1 for CF b pillars. Green would break up the window lines way too much.

fullmonty 12-05-2012 10:59 PM

This might be a silly question but when it comes to registering the car, for the color would you say the actual paint color or the color of the vinyl? Reason I'm asking because its not a repaint and is easily reversable but you're changing the color of the car

Register the car as is. If its a wrap you dont have to register the vinyl color. At least i didnt!

Vichtz 12-06-2012 02:11 AM

This is awesome! I love that color. Just straight matte black would do you good, the last time I saw a vehicle this color it didnt have any carbon fiber on it...but it also weighed 18 tons

Gold wheels aren't in the future. Green and gold look great together but maybe with a different green shade and finish. The matte green is the base wrap with some color design on top to come.

GaleForce 12-06-2012 12:03 PM

I like the idea of matte black b-pillar.

Car is looking awesome.
