Floor matts help

Just asking for some advise. I have 13km on the car and my drivers side floor matt is falling apart around the center rubber part and the rings are pulling away from the cloth. I spoke to the dealer on my regular service today and was pretty much told 12 month warrently so im out of luck. got a price from the dealer $179.00 + tx CDN$ :shakes head:

I know I have see somewhere on the forums good replacements matts that have the "z" on them and I am currently at work so can't surf for it. Can anyone drop me a link to them.

Thanks,

The dealer had the best excuse I heard in a long time....
"the car is slow low when you get in you are putting a lot of pressure on the floor Matt" I was just stunned when I heard that like wtf.

Either way going in I knew I will be paying for them so I didn't make a fuss but its obvious these were not made well.

Wow! Quality hasnt improved much. I got my Z in may this year and my drivers side mat is frayed already...and the dealership ordered me a new set, no questions asked. They show up: theyre for the Nismo. soooo I call them, they order again. They show up , they are the premium ones, no vinyl foot pad . So now i have 2 new sets and neither one is correct. I'm tired of driving 45 minutes to pick them up. I'm done. Using the Nismo ones till they get ratty then i guess i'll use the premium ones .... lol!

Lucky your under 12 months. Well the ones I saw on the previous links are still ~$50 cheaper then the exact same ones from dealer or almost $90 cheap if I go with the colored "Z" ones.

Either way won't bother ordering till spring at most I a have a week or 2 left before putting her away till the spring

weather tech makes a plastic mat that forsm to your floorboard if wall wanna just use those to protect your carpet. Thats what im gonna use unless im at a show or event or something

redline727 10-27-2012 04:00 PM

I got these. They were inexpensive, they fit perfect, and easy to clean. I just keep my stock ones clean in my garage for when/if I sell my car. Only thing is your car smells like rubber for a couple weeks haha. I recommend them to everyone. My friend got a 5 piece set for his 08 STI and my cousin got a 4 piece set for his 10 C300. Theirs all fit perfect too.

I gave up on my oem mats to. But not because they didn’t last. Just because I did not want to mess them up. I went with the weather tech floor mats but not the digital fit just the all weather.

Thanks,

They don't have a "Z" on them but the WeatherTech Floor Liners are awesome.

I have Weather Tech mats in my car and they are top notch. I take them out time-to-time and hit them with a high pressure hose when they are dirty.

Did you happen to get the digital fit or all weather?

gbrettin 12-10-2012 04:46 PM

Floor mats

I brought my new set of Weathertech Digital Fits to the dealership the day I picked up my new 370 Touring in January 2011. I have taken them out a few times to clean. Carpets are new underneath. I have put 31,000 miles since new. No wear to the mats yet. I have purchased the weathertechs for all our vehicles. Best on the market.

cgust 12-20-2012 07:47 PM

My girlfriend got Weathertechs in her Altima about a year ago and they dont fit all that great and are pretty flimsy. Hers are not the digital fit version because she didnt like the high walls along the edges. Do Weathertechs have a mat for the cargo area of the 370z? I just got Lloyds and am very happy. Snug fit all around and have a matching mat for the cargo area. As another member said, just be prepaired for the smell of rubber for a few weeks.

sparky 12-20-2012 08:30 PM

I agree with the weathertech comments. For anyone interested the digital fit model does fit like they claim - exactly.

Just to clarify, both of the WeatherTech mats have holes for the driver side mat anchors, correct?

What about the Lloyd mats? From the pics, I can't tell if the mats for the Z have the anchor holes. Can someone please confirm?

Weathertech: I have the digital fits and both sides have the hook holes, 2 holes per side. Mine fit very well and I just vacuum the sand out once a week, and maybe hit them with a wet cloth to clean the sand dust out.
I live in FL so sand is always an issue, not just @ the beach. The entire damn place is a sandbox.

I don't know about the Lloyd mats or the Weathertech "non-digital" versions, sorry.

I have Lloyds and the anchor holes are there for both the driver and passenger side.

Just thought I'd post up some pics of the Lloyd All Weather mats. They fit perfectly, but like other members have said be prepared for the smell of rubber. I aired the mats out for two days which I think helped, but there's definitely still a lingering odor after a week of use.

I bought a set of these used off the forum here, and I'm glad I didn't have to wait for them to off-gas from new condition. However, even after several weeks, they can still stink pretty good if they've been sitting in the Texas heat for a few hours with the windows up :ugh2: I'll also comment that driving barefoot in these for longer periods of time can be a little bothersome on my heel (the carpeted mats are, of course, much more comfortable).

All that being said, I'm very pleased with their fit and function. I'll swap back to the stock mats once summer gets into full gear and we stop seeing rain.

red6spd 06-05-2013 02:46 PM

Thanks for all the good info and links guys. Mine have started to rip at the holes and I will be in need of new ones real soon. Probably going to go with the WeatherTech.

kenchan 06-05-2013 02:54 PM
