On the street, everyone is on their phone, stuffing McNuggets in their gullet, fiddling with their iPod trying to find the latest T Pain single, and there's very rarely any medical professionals present when an accident happens.

Seats are not a performance part, they're not an aesthetics part, they're a SAFETY PART. Whether it's a track car, show car, or street car, seats are designed to keep you in place during an accident. If you must buy an aftermarket seat that is not FIA certified, at least buy one from a company who makes FIA seats.At least then you know that company knows how to make a quality seat.

Oh, and at least have the courtesy of informing friends/family/potential dates that you took out perfectly functioning safety items and replaced them with a product that hasn't been tested and is manufactured to questionable standards. I'm sure they'll still think your mad tyte JDM seats are still sweet, and they'll love to jump right in your car.
