but annoying when washing your car...

Doors relocking if you unlock and don't open a door; 10 year old Hyundai and 12 year old Maxima have the same feature. I suspect alot of cars do this now and yes it can be annoying when washing the car. Of course, you just need to remember to unlock and briefly open a door before starting the wash. :)

Got out to the lot and just unlocked the passenger door with the door handle button. Says to myself, self it's a nice afternoon take your jacket off and throw in on the passenger seat. Did that, closed the door and walked to the drivers side to get in and the car was locked up nicely.

:confused:Did you try passenger side? Did the same thing w my work bag-drivers door still locked-thank god-passenger door was not....:ugh2:
They will relock tho if you dont open door w/i a couple minutes. My Civic does this too.

but if you unlock your door with the door handle button and leave it.....it stays unlocked until you lock it again.. i accidentally unlocked it and left it for 5hrs+ unlocked........came back and found out that it didn't lock by itself.

Autolock is common

Both my BMW's and both my Acura's had the same feature

If you don't lock the car at all it won't automatically lock. It's only if the car has been locked already then you unlock with the fob and never actually open any doors it will auto lock again on its own. It's preventative thinking you may have accidentally hit unlock on the fob in your pocket or something. I think it's a useful feature.
