No need for professional installation. The sample kit came with a handy roller, so the only other tools I needed were some scissors, a marker, a tape measure, and a straightedge (I used a metal wallpaper squeegee I had laying around). If I had thought of MIGHTYMOUSE's cardboard template idea, it would have been even easier.
The only difficult part is removing/re-installing the interior panels. I had my favorite body shop do the R/R on the panels - only charged me $50 - and I took my time installing the mat over a long weekend (it could have been a one-day project, but I had other things going on).

I wish we could offer this, but we simply don't have the man power to provide it. Maybe a true enthusiast can help out?

Its really easy to install just time consuming the one thing that is taking me the longest is cutting card board boxes the right size to measure the mat so I have less patches and more solid big pieces on mat. It also looks alot better

Any chance you still have those pieces of cardboard you cut out? They could be used as a template for a CAD design.

Ok I need more of this stuff.

How much and which mil size?

dmhenderson 12-12-2012 04:30 PM

You sent me a 25 sq foot sample. I'm probably going to need 50 more sq feet to do what I want to do with it. Not sure what the sample depth was but it's very nice.

This stuff goes on super easy and makes a huge difference in both cabin noise and drone for those of you with aftermarket exhausts.

I bet I got a place that can laser cut them.
Biggest issue you'd have is how much coverage and how anal a person wanted to get with it, and that varies from person to person...
And it's one of those things where the product is pliable and it shouldn't be too hard to just make it fit

I will however look into getting sheets cut into a size that will go into the trunk in such a way that it's easy, and gives a lot of coverage
(Other issue is that you will either have to leave gaps or cut for overlap of the product)
