Yea I looked into it. That's CFL kit though, not the LED kit, which is what I got. Its called the "Bling Ring", and its pure LED lights all the way around. No ballasts or anything, Mibne are splice in but simple, think I may wire them into a switch

I skipped the switch for now, I didn't want to take the wires out of the housing. I'm gonna try and trace the supply wires to the parking light and splice the switch from outside.

Your kit, if it is just a splice in is cake bro! Hit that circuit under the bulb, solder it in. I would reccomend a clip connector of some sort...... So you can easily move and remove the shroud it's attached too. Without that it would be permanently affixed and you would have to cut it to move/ remove it. Just a thought

Awesome

Good work brother, you did a great job +1. Looks real clean and professional. Those halos fit nicely in the shroud. :tiphat:

I was planning on making it permanent so no issue there. Kit looks real good, I'm pumped to get mine in but still cant find a place to bake these bad boys open, and now school is started so it's probably gonna be awhile now...

Thanks bro. I'm gonna work on some LEDs for the landing strip and look into the g35 lenses also. But that will be down the road a bit.

I'm waiting for parts. AAC is in New Orleans so it's gonna be a bit. Perfect timing. I said screw it and went LED.

The strut tower is straight paint for now. Trying to pick a color...... I'd like neon..... I had it fluorescent yellow for a bit, it was pretty cool.

the thread from the dead haha. Finally get to go back home and going to try to attempt this (all things permitting) on the 22nd. I had a question about how you wired it though. Did you wire it to the blinker or to the headlight? I'd like it to stay on all the time regardless of my headlights being on, naturally this would be wiring it to the parking lights. However, I don't want the rings to flash when I turn my blinker on, so I was wondering how you did this. When I did it on my old stang I used the foglight wires to splice into, but this car has none obviously. What was your route and what were the results I.E are they on only when the headlights are on, are they constantly on as long as the parking lights are on? do they flash?

Go back to pg 3 bro. It walks ya right through what I did and there are pics.

The rings are on when I turn on the parking lights and stay on with the head lights. I did not hook into the blinker. So they stay solid.

I just finished installing the led bling ring.... It splices right into the parking circuit. I did the whole job in 2 hours. Easy day!

Pics coming soon :happydance:

i did wash the baby right after install.............. Don't judge me.

Great work, Eric! It looks amazing!

I installed the AAC kit on my old IS300 and it was extremely frustrating at first...mostly because I was doing it at night lol but I also broke one of the rings, myself, upon opening the package so be careful! I can't add much on top of what Eric so kindly wrote up but I will tell you that it isn't as bad as you would expect; once the work gets going you move quickly. The finished product is stunning and well worth the time spent on it. I would frequently get approached about the halos and I always loved having them. Sometimes I would even drive with just the halos on and not the headlights lol looking like a beast! The Z kit looks legit and I can vouch for AAC so I would recommend doing this install if you have the time and patience. Otherwise, if the Z is the same as the IS, AAC has an option to do it for you.
