Honestly, what I'm loving about this emblem is the contrasting silver CF background with the flat black "Z" logo. I think this will look great with my black car with stock silver rays and silver door handles.

Hey Evo-R, I just want to apologize for blowing up on you like that - I hope you can understand a lot of the emotion I offloaded on you had a lot to do with the bad experience I had with that other fella. I realize that I over reacted and I'm sure you didn't copy my emblems - so I'm really sorry for this. You did execute well and I wish you the best on selling those emblems. I've seen a lot of your other parts and you do make pretty nice stuff.

EVOR 08-25-2012 10:07 AM

scruffydog, no problem. Thanks for your understandig. After all we all just want to bring good stuff to the Z community.

Any other parts in the works for the 370? You seem to be the most active vendor putting out new parts for us. :tiphat:

Great post, takes a lot to apologize and you don't see it much.

Back on topic, I'm really looking forward to seeing these become widely available for purchase!

dmhenderson 08-25-2012 09:09 PM

Sent a PM begging for black emblems because holy crap they look great.

cinellipro 08-26-2012 12:42 PM

Can you Create the Fuel Temperature gage in BLACK?

The emblem looks great! Can you create the fuel temperature gauge cover in BLACK. Maybe a snap-on cover that includes the sides so it looks professionally done, like the emblems.
Thanks

mardigras 08-26-2012 06:39 PM

I wonder if that one for the 350z would fit the 370z?

Jordo! 08-26-2012 07:17 PM

Evo-r, ygpm.

EVOR 08-27-2012 12:30 AM

Will only fit the rear, not the front.

Hey EVOR, where are you with delivery and availability? Maybe start a list if you are limited in production. At least us that said we would be down from the start of thread would be in line for your next batch.

Or should we just buy from the z store ?

Oh yeh and how about a group buy price.

I would love this. I love Simota for creating what he did, but I'd prefer a much more OEM look.

EVOR 08-28-2012 04:54 AM

I will start a pre order list. So I can take some custom orders at same time.

Fo you mean cover up the silver part in carbon? But won't that cover the "E" "F" "C" "H"?

I think what we all mean is have it laser cut precisely to fit all of that, much like Simota's custom vinyl, but a hard piece that also covers the sides (to look more OEM, less custom).

EVOR 08-28-2012 10:37 PM

HUmm... I think will be cheaper if we put labels on it.

interested in purchasing a set of emblems (front and back).

how do i get on board?!

Nillaz 08-29-2012 04:18 PM

So I just heard a rumor that I have a package waiting for me at home. I wonder whatever could it be? :D

Nillaz 08-29-2012 05:42 PM

So I just got home and tore into my package and sure enough it's my emblems. For those who were asking about turn around time I made payment on Aug 23. 6 days definitely isn't bad considering that it had to travel from Taiwan to PA!

The emblems look good....no blemishes or mars in the finish. I took them out and held them over the existing emblems on the car and it looks like they're going to be a perfect fit.....but...

They didn't come with any backing plate. It's just the emblem with no cf disc. I was going to try to install them this evening but I'm not sure where the little nubs are on the car that hold the emblem in place and I don't want to be driving around with them showing, not to mention the indentation in the center. EVO-R can you please advise?

I can't put them on the car so there's not much to show, but here's a quick pic I snapped with my cell phone.

They do look like they're high quality, unless the backing fell off during shipping :icon17:....what color CF did you order/expect? I want those with silver CF for my PG Z.

XwChriswX 08-29-2012 08:04 PM

I'm hoping for Black emblems with the CF backing, did we ever get a pic of that combo from a production run?

:icon17: ummmm, there's no way they 'fell off'.

I kind of expected this:

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y96...A06914CE8F.jpg

Considering that this was the cf the chrome ones were originally presented with and the fact that you can't use the emblems without the backing piece I assumed it was the default option. Yes, I know what they say about assumption but here we are. :rofl2:

I'm guessing that this was an oversight or simply a miscommunication and that we'll figure it out. I really was excited to get these on the car but c'est la vie.

t3h r0nz 08-29-2012 08:34 PM

Any idea when ill be able to order some black ones? Also how hard is it to pop off the stocks and put these on?

Apparently it's not easy, or something you can do with a flathead screwdriver, as the kids who attempted to vandalize/steal mine found out. :icon17:

I have yet to take them off of the Z but I've debadged other cars in the past. It's pretty straightforward if you have access to a heat gun and some fishing line or dental floss. Heat up the adhesive a bit and slowly work the fishing line under the emblem. Make sure that you are kind of pulling the line taught towards you a bit to minimize the possibility of scratching your paint. Any adhesive remaining on the car after emblem removal can be taken off with something like goo gone. Lastly if you do have to use goo gone or other such cleaner don't forget to reseal your paintjob with fresh wax!

Putting the new ones on is going to be a no brainer. It's just some 3M adhesive pads on the back of the emblems.

Partly why I'm interested in these, I don't have to plasti-dip, and CF back, and will cover up some of the cuts in the plastic behind the emblem. :icon17:

If I came out and saw this in the morning I'd probably have an aneurysm!

The worst I ever had happen was one of the local kids dropped his bike into the door of my RX-8. He didn't have rubber handlebar grips so the metal end of his handlebar left a perfect O dented in the side of my door. I nearly fainted when I saw it the next morning but at least that was an accident. What happened to your car is just blatant vandalism!

Apparently it's a problem in the local area, when the cop came by for the report, he said there have been 18 other cars recently vandalized, specifically stolen emblems. The car across the street (Honda Accord) had theirs actually taken. :ugh2:

I'm glad I didn't see who did it because there would have been dead bodies in my driveway.

Reminds me of the scene in Pulp Fiction where John Travolta is talking about how he wishes he would have caught the punks that keyed his car. :icon17:
