cruise control on dash blinking?!?

I know I’m bumping an old thread, but we’re any of you guys able to confirm the issue with this? My cruise control light started blinking the other day out

My cruise control light started blinking the other day out of nowhere and I have no clue why. I’ll be driving the car probably later today to see if it does it again and I’ll be checking for scans and monitor the coolant temperature, but also wanted to make sure if you guys knew what the actual problem was.
