EVO-R Sideskirts Question...

Quick and silly question, I PMed EvoR and haven't heard back yet.

Before I order the skirts, I need to know if they'll get in the way of a lift? Will they have to be removed everytime the car will need to go on a lift? I only ask because I had a set of sideskirt wings on my 350Z that needed to be removed as they got in the way.

EVOR 06-12-2012 09:41 PM

No they won't, cuz they don't go all the way in. Sorry did not reply email.

Oh, awesome.

No worries. Appreciate the response here :D

Going to order a pair tomorrow.

nope, but most of the shops I have taken them to hate it. They just have to be extra careful.

 this is the right answer... you wont have to take it out.... but most shops will complain to you about it...

it doesnt make the car that much lower.... the problem is that it sticks outward like 2-3 inches with a 3/4 downward lip... so if the shop dont watch out they could crack it when they swing in the arms for the lift.....

ho bout a floor jack?

BlackZ85 06-13-2012 04:19 PM

i got like 4 inches of clearance, from the ground to the lowest part of the side skirt, was gonna order it but scared it was too low, i won't be able to make it in my drive way.

it wont clear if your lowered... it will hit the downward lip part... what i use to do was use the stock scissor jack to jack it up a lil then jack it from the front with the floor jack

Invest in a super low profile jack and you should be ok... probably cost you around $100.

Talking about the side blades right?

I use my stock jack to get it up a bit and then I can get my hydraulic lift underneath for the real jacking lol.

Shop had to do the same to get it on the lift yesterday, they were actually surprised my CF side blades were still in one piece as some other guy damaged his in less than a month.
