From the second photo you see theleft side is pushed all the way up which is not suppose to be... cannot line with the lower edge?

No because if I line up the middle the upper corners would be even more exposed. The problem is that both sides are "dropped" forming a downward C-shape.

Also, the picture you provided shows the top part pushed all the way up with nice fitment on the sides. I did my install based on this. Now you are saying it is not supossed to be like that?

That sucks man it's not fitting, and it's such a nice piece.

That's about where mine is. The lay-up mold is simply off. I've got to assume that originally it was meant so the lip of the diffuser tucks into crease of the bodywork (like it does on the top). I've thought about building out / elongating the 'corners' on mine so they go into the crease. I'm thinking I could do it with some bondo and then lay a layer or two of fiberglass on top of that for strength and get it pretty good looking.

Its cause the angle of the photo. I'm saying you see how you line up on the edge line, where I had my arrow. Same lining alll the way

When I pull the sides apart, the middle will raise up. Because originally is where it should fit, tuck into the crease, not lined up with where you pointed. Most people who recieved a nice fitting diffuser have it installed this way, and it was spot on, no forcing required. The diffuser I recieved has a downward C-shape, so much that the screws included won't keep it in place. It simply doesn't line up with where you say.

So after all are you implying the mistake is all mine for not being able to install it correctly and you will not assume any responsability for a $400 piece with bad fitment?

that sucks man.... :( my frp one fit like a glove... but it was one of the first ones made.....?!? maybe there mold now has warped already from making to much rear valances?

Sucks that your having an issue, was the whole rear structure replaced during the salvage repair process or was some of it reused. Maybe its just a hair off?

This is just my 2¢, but a company should make a product that just fits, it doesn't matter if it's oem or aftermarket or replica or whatever. If you're going to make a product, take the time to make it right. Hell, it looks like I could half-*** and sell them and then tell people "oh hey, it's aftermarket stuff. You have to chop it up to make it fit." No. Make it right, or don't make it.

Now don't get me wrong, I've heard a lot of good stuff about Evo-R, but I would think once you make the part you should do a test fit, it would take less than a minute, and everyone is happy.

I had some issues with their side blades... about an inch or so too short on either side. Wasn't that impressed with them.

Please read my previous posts, my car was rebuilt using new parts bought from the dealer itself. Plus there is no physical way my rear valance was so out of shape, that would require the clip that hold the rear bumper to be off for like 5 inches, which are not.

I will be submitting final pictures tonight...

Dang man, thanks for sharing. I was looking to buy the same diffuser this week!

RoshDawg 06-08-2012 07:36 PM

I feel for you OP! But its always good to do research as well. For perfect fitment, the original would be the way to go.
I trust the many reviews here on this forum over what an aftermarket company says about their own product. I believe that if you read more reviews, you would have realized that there would be fitment issues, and went with the original! Haha.
Sorry if it sounds like I'm bashing Evo-r. I'm a big fan of small business owners, but this is a place where we can promote or sort out good/bad companies.
I hope for the best, and that all that pressure on the diffuser won't make it crack down the road or on a speed bump. Good luck!

UPDATE

I have update the first post with the finished product pictures. Thanks all for your comments support, I hope this may help all those looking for opinions when buying this diffuser.

To the date, Evo-R has pretty much let me down as they did not offer me any type of actual help or solution, They did not PM or email me offering a partial refund or discount on other items, which I at least expected... From my point of view they simply said "It should fit like other people's did, and if it doesn't, deal with it".

I hope they realize whats wrong with the fitment of their diffuser and other parts and fix it soon, because I was not the first one nor the last one receiving a faulty product.

EVOR 06-08-2012 09:30 PM

Paypal complaint has already been process since begining of this thread, I'll be glad to close the case and give full refund on this. Please ship the item back and I'll be glad to give you discount on any other items. Reason want to return to me, I want to show to our factory if there is a problem with this one. I have checked and fitted all my inventory because of this case. Just want to make sure no one else have this problem. I did not PM or email cuz all our communication is already done here. Let me know what you want to do. I'm here to resolve
