i recommend a few coats of adhesion promotor (spray you can buy at autoparts store) on the CF back side, fully dry (maybe 1-2 hrs? read label).

then clean the bumper side with rubbing alcohol.

then re-try the VHB tape using a heat gun or in the sun keep it warm to the touch. GL!

My fangs fit so snug, I didn't even really need the tape

It was the upper trim that needed lots of it.

Also look in Home Depot (Lowes too i nthe US) for a tape called "No more Nails".

I think 3M tape is rated to hold 5lbs, No More Nails does 10lbs

If you're worried about the cover coming loose and flying off, it won't. I've had mine on for years and have sped much faster than I should have. You will probably need glue if the cover has warped and won't stick to your bumper.

I sprayed the underside of the CF fang cover with Loctite adhesive spray to see if it help the tape stick better. I'm letting it dry right now. I will let you guys know how it turn out.

Heres pic of the fang coming loose.

I took the fang off and masked to be ready for spray.

I used Loctite water and heat resistant adhesive spray on the back on the fang. The adhesive didn't hold to the fang's back side as well as I thought but it holds a lot better then the tape did.

I let it dry over night then put the 3m double sided black tape on.This time the tape holds a lot better with the adhesive spray.

Put the fang back on. Hold on to the bumper a lot better now.
