Drivers side rubber seal ripped... fix?

It's right down by where your feet would rub to get out if you are sloppy, lol. How hard/how much would this be to replace?

Not a nice answer. I have the same problem, looks like our feet rub on it getting in and out of the car. I'll be reluctantly taking mine to the dealership soon to see if they'll replace it under warrenty or is it "normal " wear and tear.

i hate scuffs in my plastic and seals. it's easy to replace the seal but you will need to buy it probably. while it's not a normal wear/tear item that looks more like neglect and carelessness. (not meant to offend).

JAYNO20 04-12-2012 01:16 PM

No offense taken, I just bought the car, it was like that. I take way better care of my cars than that.

JAYNO20 04-12-2012 01:22 PM

Also, does anyone know how much that seal would be to replace and would it be difficult?

speedfreek 04-12-2012 01:22 PM

I hate when people get in the passenger seat and drag their feet on the door sill when they get in and out. :shakes head: It is worse than slamming the door...thanks for the scratches now :gtfo2:

That's why I had clear bra installed on the insides of my sills

Mama raised me to be sensitive

And for op, i wasnt being serious about the post, try calling a local dealer for replacement parts. Maybe you can even replace it on your own to save money

 that's smart. when i had to take my G in for smog check, the idiot clerk went to connect the OBD2 and his belt scratched the sill. ofcourse i pointed this out to him and he apologized, but damage already done. :ugh2: so after that i clear bra'ed the corner of the sill where the factory clearbra on the sill did not cover.

JAY- when you're ready to dress up the plastic and seals, i recommend using a product called Aerospace303 or PrimaNero. either one, dillute in water 50/50 into a spraybottle and spray into your MF towel and apply. :) dries matte. i personally prefer Nero because it's more matte than aerospace303.

Amazon.com: 303 Products Inc 16 Oz 303 Protectant With Spray: Sports & Outdoors

Amazon.com: Prima Nero: Vinyl, Rubber & Plastic Dressing: Automotive

dont use armorall!

i hate it too when they slam the door.... like jesus man.... do you really have to slam it like the door is gonna fall off? whats worse is it sucks when they slam it going in and going out.....

3 years ago i was checking out this girl and my car was brand new.... she kept slamming the door on my z... i was absolutely irritated.... she said "wow why do your doors slam so hard?!?" i never said a word after that to her and never spoke to her after that one date :bowrofl:
