I went back and looked at the window tint thread, and noticed the majority of our cars have this. Do most people not bother with it and accept it as a part of the tint? I never noticed it before, but now I see it everywhere, so I guess its pretty much normal? I'm thinking of putting vinyl beneath it since I have some lying around, but wanted to know what others thought.

It's normal, all the cars I've had tinted have that. It's just that there's a difference in the level/texture of the glass and the dots, the tint will always look different there just like the defroster lines but nowhere near as subtle.
