Hey I'm just curious.. why did you not choose to bring it back to a Nissan dealership? If some guy did that to my car and his insurance will be paying to fix it.. can you not demand they bring it back to a dealership?
The same thing happened to my Honda Civic before and I said 'screw it I don't care if the dealership overcharges.. not my problem' and ordered the replacement bumper/headlight and paint job/install etc. from them. It was probably like $1500 more but not my issue, plus it gave me peace of mind.. and it was after all, the other guy's responsibility to get my car back to near-mint condition. Coincidentally, afterwards there was a paint chipping issue and obviously the authorized dealership was more ready/willing to rectify any complaints.
Glad you're alright though man.. that's the most important thing. If the accident messed up your back that sorta thing could last forever.. can't put a price on something like that.
