Looking for headlight modder in South Florida

Hey all,

I am looking for a good place in South Florida that can mod our headlights, and if anyone has any pictures of the work done I would love to see them.

Thanks,
J

Really none?? :(

bullitt5897 02-13-2012 09:33 AM

There is a DIY if you feel inclined to do it yourself. If you dont feel like doing it yourself you can ship your headlights off to 180custom or even to me at UAM and we can do it for you.

A descent shop who takes your headlights apart and reseals them along with painting your inner components will run about $400-$600 depending on what you want done.

Never heard of anyone here doing them for customers. You may find a single person who may want to do it for extra cash though.

Unique_Z 02-13-2012 10:28 AM

Try PMing him. but surely you have to ship it though

What kind of mods are you thinking about?

hardroc86 02-13-2012 11:45 AM

haha i know i my skill level I wont be doing DIY lol. I want to get the housing painted to match my car color MB, and also demon eyes.

cheshirecat 02-13-2012 12:12 PM

It really isn't that difficult. You can save yourself a lot of money (and use that to buy some tools for later projects) by following a DIY.

You can order a couple of cans of paint with the correct color code to paint the housing. You can also order the demon eye and the clear STI lens (which I suggest).

I'm in PSL and can give you a hand if you'd like, or if you want, shoot me a PM with any questions you have.

Lakewood park vero here

Dont know if either of you check this post maybe I should pm you. Just got a 2012 black cherry 370z and am wanting to do the same thing to my lights. Have you had any luck let me know

NoirG 02-14-2012 12:54 AM

I have 2 friends who can paint your headlights for you 1 in west palm beach and another one in miami, let me know whic one you want lol, not sure about demon eye though

cheshirecat 02-14-2012 05:04 AM

Yeah, the demon eye is a little more intensive. The halo is much more doable and more classy, imo.

hardroc86 02-14-2012 07:52 AM

I've been thinking about it, I might just do halo instead. Def want the paint done.

bullitt5897 02-14-2012 10:21 AM

Demon eye is a very simple mod

Hawk6 02-15-2012 11:21 AM

Let me know how the uprev goes what gains you have etc., have been reading a lot about it. Have not done anything to the car yet but am looking to just dont know were to start. Should def meet up to BS and see what you guys have done and get ideas of what to do. Anyone go with Redline fluids at all? Everyone has there own opinion on what to use and when to do the first change out... Ive never babied a car before so this is all new to me.

hardroc86 02-16-2012 02:15 PM

Well got my UpRev done 291hp on the mustang dyno an 320hp in the Jet Dyno!!! Getting much better response and feel. Also, getting much better gas mileage. Def have to arrange a time for us all to meet up.

Hawk6 02-16-2012 09:42 PM

Hardroc set a time an I will see what I can do. St lucie west should be good central point for us on TC or maybe traditions. What color is your baby? I seen a blue one (looked nice) off okechobee today mine is black cherry... Was that you? I'm up for a meet and greet. Interested in seeing what others have done to their Z's.

julianpayne 02-17-2012 08:15 AM

On the issue of headlights, I had mine done in Tampa by a stereo/custom shop called Soundwaves. Take a look at my pics to see the results. Just ask for Peter and tell him I sent you!

Crazy stuff man- I saw the topspeed exhaust and remembered that your ride was blue and I was thinking... hrmm.... could it be the same guy? hahaha. So coincidental.

XBarbarian 02-21-2012 01:15 PM

hey all...

Largo here..

been looking for tampa area club, etc.. saw Suncoast Z club..but seems dead..

I too am looking for headlight mods, etc..

soo surprising Nissan doesn't really offer any additional DRL, or fog lights..etc.. nada..

gaveup 02-23-2012 04:49 PM

I just want mine painted lol.

But I'm not about to pay the stupid amount of money some of these places charge for something that should be so simple to someone who has done it before.

julianpayne 02-24-2012 08:14 AM

Well I'll say I've seen the process that is involved, not to mention the seal integrity is tough to up do/do with out a large often. You can always just try it yourself, you might gain an appreciation for the process.

cheshirecat 02-24-2012 10:04 AM

^ I dunno, I've done it 4 times- it's definitely involved but I wouldn't say it's tough to do. Getting the reseal right is very important, but as long as you have a heat gun and some black rtv sealant (that you apply VERY liberally) it usually comes out fine.

hardroc86 02-25-2012 08:39 PM

well lets see if we can get a time together to work on my lights and see if we can knock them out!

mz3035 02-27-2012 02:42 PM

Not to get off topic. I'm in pal also. Willing to ride out if you guys plan on having a meet..
