Yup, Turn the A/C knob off, push the light off, and press the middle button with inside/outside air until inside air lights up.

i didnt fully read this.also should have been more specific.... i want the fan running without the ac. if i hold down the vent button with the fan on and ac off... both inside and outside lights blink and then just outside air light is on.

On the touring setup (2009). If you select inside air the ac automatically turns on. Not sure how it is on the non touring setups or if it changed after the 2009 models.

I got you, so you want the fan running with inside air, I actually went out and tried this just because you asked and it seems there isnt a way to change that, looks like AC has to be on in order for it to be on inside air. Looks like its some kind of preset. Sorry.

Maybe someone else knows how to get that setting.

I like to do that too and crack a window. The negative pressure of the open window draws more air through the vents for free, almost feels like you turned the fan up one speed yet its all off.

Hmm, this might be a long shot, but you could set the temp knob to the ambient air temperature in the cabin, and then turn on the auto mode. This might just recirculate the air already there, with minimal conditioning. I know it's not completely off, but if you just want the fan, that might be something to consider.

that's stupid if you can't, works on Aus models, we have different set of buttons though for the auto climate control, is this an option in the US models?

Default A/C bypass switch

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the environmental control assembly? I wanted to install a A/C bypass switch in the wire that turns on the compressor. So, with the bypass switch pushed in, with a NC switch, the condenser wouldn't turn on. A LED wired to this wire would illuminate when the A/C condenser is activated and remind you the switch is on, so you would be reminded to turn it off if you wanted normal A/C operation. With this switch, all airflow setting options would be available. I also wanted to add a switch to manually turn on the fans to supply additional airflow to my oil cooler. I just need the proper wiring diagrams.
