Not a fan of these at all, after seeing many of them in person. The stock cover is going to last much longer than these flimsy things.

heh the prototype shroud sitting in my car doesn't have any issues. mold might be going bad after an extended production run.

pwjdm makes good stuff - they probably just need to refresh the mold and it'll be fine. good thing they're willing to RA though

After a 4 month wait I just got an email from Password JDM the the radiators covers are back in stock and are shipping now ( mine is on the way ).
As soon as I get it I'll post some pics and a review.

Nice. Hopefully they fixed the issue. I know there have been several members here looking to buy this piece.

Lol not flimsy at all. It is thin and light, it looks delicate but it's def not weak at all.

Fitment could be better, I had to grind several areas to make it fit and it is still making contact with the hood on the passenger side.

The yellow marks are where I had to grind from underneath the piece, they are not flush and the edges extend to far down causing the piece to be raised and not letting the hood latch in place.

The area on the green circles is where the piece hits that center area of the radiator support. I just grinded the edges a bit, this allowed me to push the cover further inside towards the engine bay.

The red marks is where I still have contact with the hood, passenger side is more noticeable.

After talking to PW:JDM they came out with a new mold and apparently it is still not perfect but better. I am sending mine in for replacement next week.

The cover arrived today and I'll try to install it later tonight. More info as it becomes available.

so this is the "new" version? Based on the pic there is a cut out for the window washer fluid, did the piece come like that precut?

Boost_lee 04-28-2012 03:48 PM

^ I like covering the windshield fluid lid on the old unit, if thats how the new one is.

Are they offering warranty for all old units?

GaleForce 04-28-2012 08:34 PM

Good news! Time for me to order one.

DrEvil 04-28-2012 08:50 PM

Actually I did the cut out. I am just too lazy to remove the entire cover just to fill the washer bottle.
