UAM has finally finished the shift knob after months of editing. The shift boot will be installed in the morning.

Good job guys we've all been waiting for this.. I know there were quite a few who got upset when the thread was locked.. SO the million dollar question.. How much? Price shipped to 98312 please

Xplicit97 04-06-2012 03:58 AM

Oh! I forgot to mention in burnt titanium please.. Got too excited just seeing it was complete.. Is this a boot and shift knob combo or just the knob?

Jamaica 04-06-2012 04:01 AM

Sorry for the crappy pics. Stayed up to get this complete. Here are a few details. We are looking for a group buy of at least 10 people for this. Prices will be up in the morning. Also for the boot we have many options such as stock boot cover(6mt tran use), carbon fiber, and any and all coloring and stitching.

There will be 6 knobs to choose from and it comes with personal engraving to those who want it.

Jonathan Vach 04-06-2012 05:54 AM

finally!!!

nice .. been waiting for this since I got my Z a few months ago.. the one thing that the evo had that the z doest is a good looking AT shifter..

When the thread was locked I thought the project was completely abandoned.... makes sense in my head. My bad. I'm glad the final product is out. The 350z sticks looked shorter. Especially in carbon fiber guise.

I like it except for one thing. It looks tall. Is there a way to shorten the stick a little?

Juruki 04-06-2012 10:12 AM

i dont care about the boot much, dont want to make my car look like a MT.
I just want a shorter and better looking shift knob like the GTR's

Jamaica 04-06-2012 11:13 AM

If you make it shorter or shave some of the plastic on the top , won't work. This is the issue we ran into . We shaved a little of the top to make it shorter and it wasn't able to disingauge and get the car out of gear.

The white plastic piece was shaved down half way and it wouldn't work.
These knobs are specially designed for the 370z. It has. Few more parts then the 350z.
We also wanted to try using the manual console instead of the automatic because it looks cleaner.

Is there any way to remove the white plastic piece? That is what I did with the g35's. Someone told me that the white plastic piece wont come off? Is this true?
