However, the back seems tight for a standard electric strat style case. I have given up on the idea of fitting my 2x12 cabinet or Jackson Double Rhoads in this thing if I get a Z.

Any players here care to share their experiences?

You have the standard Strat style case? I used to get my Mesa Boogie head, two 1X12 cabinets, pedal board case, gig bag, and my Tele nocaster shaped case in the 350 lol........... zero space left, but it worked. Try standing the Strat case on it's side right behind the brace and in front of the shock towers, then the head right up against the case between the towers.... then use the remaining space for the speaker cabinet.

Sorry, but not true. It's supposed to be opened when you choose to open it. I routinely open my rear hatch at least 4-8 times a day. So far it's fine and I've certainly opened it more than 200 times. If the struts fail, Nissan has three years ahead of them replacing them for me.

You can say whatever you want but that still doesn't change the fact that I only opened my trunk after every wash to dry any water that made it under the lid and the struts still failed miserably. I have also owned a 240SX and same thing happened on that one. Out of the 3 nissans I have owned 2 have failed one is a little more then a month old so I guess it's too soon.

Thread bumb! :D

I read this thread yesterday when I was supposed to pick up a new amp and cab. Really helpful, so I might chip in.

A Marshall 1965A 4x10 (that's the slanted model) fits, just! The non slanted will not :) But I wouldn't want to do this often, just for moving gear occasionally.

i throw my ibanez in like this in the hard case, and wrap the seatbelt around it in a half a** way in case i have to stop hard

you can fit a hard case if you throw it up over the strut tower bar. I fit my schecter hard case in there.
