Asymmetrical Door Mirrors??

Is it just me or are the door mirrors on our car not symmetrical? Look at this pics, the driver's mirror appears to protrude out further than the passenger mirror. It looks different when looking at the rear of the car as well.

Just something I noticed. Have you noticed it?

HKYStormFront 09-27-2011 09:54 PM

they are the same, just sorta looks that way in that picture for some reason

kenchan 09-27-2011 10:09 PM

look at the light reflection on the hood. it's not dead center, must be asymetrical too.

You can turn them in on their stalk, can't you? Maybe one is pushed in a wee bit...?

djpathfinder 09-27-2011 11:24 PM

symmetrical

happytheman 09-27-2011 11:37 PM

Yup, one is folded in slightly. Prob somebody bumped into it while it was on display.

Hmm, mine looks exactly like this one and it's not folded in slightly. Even sitting in the car and looking at the passenger mirror, it looks angled in more towards the side of the car for some reason.

How about this rear view? Now do you see what I'm talking about?

Seems like a warranty or class action lawsuit issue

I see what your saying (nice pic by the way), but I think the lighting in that pic is less than ideal. I believe an argument could be made that the darkness in your right mirror might give the illusion of an issue.

Got another example perhaps?

Edit:

Here you go, embedded for discussion's sake.

I'm not complaining it's just something I've noticed recently.

KaienZ34 09-28-2011 10:21 PM

All these pics where taken at a slight angle.

happytheman 09-28-2011 10:51 PM

I believe you may be right.

There is a half inch difference between the driver and pass side mirrors
So it's not a illusion it's a fact.
