Infuriated. Got egged. $1200 in damage
 

:mad: Okay, so some stupid kids in my neighborhood thought it would be funny to egg my car. About 9:30 at night I walked out to my car and see egg shells all around my car and about 5 eggs busted against my driver side and hood. I call the cops right then. When they arrive all they say is "sorry" pretty much. Someone else down the street had just been egged too and he had just left there.. I filed a report and washed my car immediately. I don't know what eggs they used but it stuck to my paint like no other. Took me a good 25min to get it mostly off. I ran my hand across where they hit and found that my paint had been chipped. I was SO MAD. I took it to the body shop the next day and got an estimate of about $1200. Which I will be paying for because they didn't find these kids. How the hell is this fair. Oh and the cherry on top is my insurance deductible is $1000..oh that's just fantastic. :mad::mad::mad:

Five of these round chips are on my car. They are about golf ball size and very noticeable.

I dunno man, 1200 is borderline, depending on the deductible and how much they will jack his rates up.

They actually have a suspect but refuse to give me any information. Probably a good idea because I don't want to accidentally break all their windows and leave their car on bricks.

That's beat... yeah besides the impact, eggs can do wonder to a car's paint if not washed off immediately... since it was the middle of the night, combined with the heat you are going to have some damage obviously.

Worst case senario is you pay to have it fixed and they never catch the f@gs... best case is they do and you eventually get reimbursed via court order or if your super lucky, the parents will settle.

I got my Avalon egged a couple years ago in the night - by the time i got it washed, i had a huge paint splotch area - i just left it there to this day...

Recheck you policy. You might have $1000 deductible on collision, but comprehensive might have a lower deductible (assuming you bought it). Comphensive covers things like vandalism, glass, fire, theft. At any rate, vandalism claims generally aren't chargeable events like accidents and shouldn't affect your rates (assuming it's a quality insurance policy).

When find out who the little bastards are, you can sue in small claims court. Note that if they're juveniles, you might need an attorney to get the info.

Man whats up with all the Z haterade these days? First Christian, then this and the other day some guy cut me off, then I pulled up next to him to ask him if he saw me or not. He proceeded to tell me to fu%# myself and destroy my piece of **** car, then he attempts to spit on my car and totally misses. Not only was this guy a total retard with a lack of respect for other peoples property, but he was obviously salivatorilly challenged. That f'ing sucks man, I'm really sorry to hear this had to happen to you. I know how you feel, someone walked all on my car the other night and it ruined my day too. :(

It comes down to jealousy, I guarantee it was someone in your neighborhood who saw you and the car. Some people who see young people with nice things can feel like if they don't have nice stuff, no one else should.

Eggs are heavy and when they get thrown at your car, the force of the impact alone crazes the paint around the impact. That type of paint damage happens to any type of paint, regardless of brand. Rock chips are one thing, but the average egg weighs over 2 oz and when it is thrown, can exert a lot more force.

Haha, I had a crazy friend who had a samurai sword with red candied (non sugar) liquid on the blade. I remember I was tailing him and some dude cut him off. He did the same thing your guy did except I could literally hear him "if you fucken spit in my car, I will follow j00 *** and cut you down like the last guy" and saw a red sword pointed to his direction." haha, dude sped through a red light.
