Carbon Fiber Rear Strut Brace by CF Element

So we got our hands on a couple of these bars and decided to wrap em up!! Still in the works but they are close to done. I really haven't seen many after market options for these so the cf should be a nice touch to the interior of the Z. We're sure the fit will be fine but still looking for a z local to us in central jersey to test fit and get some installed pics. So anyone interested hit us up!! Thanks for looking.

Progress pics....

Can't wait to see it installed! This looks sick. And yeah, since no one has stepped up to make anything better than the stock one, why the hell not!! :rofl2:

Whats the cost

Carbon Fiber Element 08-18-2011 09:39 PM

Price will be figured out very very soon...but it'll be a core swap deal like I've been doing with the steering wheels. Cost plus exchange for the stock bar. Stay tuned!!

happytheman 08-18-2011 09:45 PM

Wow! Wishin' I was in New Joi-sey right about now! In for installed pics and approx cost.

This is awesome. Thanks for stepping up and support the wants/needs of the community, I would definitely go for one as long as they are reasonably priced! It would go well with the other interior CF bits I have coming soon.

I'm just down the road, PM me details

Carbon Fiber Element 08-20-2011 07:28 PM

Still at it with these...finished pics soon, installed pics hopefully shortly after. We will more than likely do another group buy deal with these parts and used these as core swaps to help you guys out, but once the price is set you can always send your stock part in to speed up the process instead of waiting...Stay tuned. ;)

:iagree:

dmatt 08-22-2011 05:10 PM

So, how do you think the CF will hold up with the intense (at times) sun and heat coming thru the back window?

It'll hold up just fine, you will not need to worry about the carbon fiber having any issues there. High quality clear coat will stand up to lots of heat without yellowing or fading.

XwChriswX 08-22-2011 08:04 PM

Oh hell yes. :stirthepot:

For the installation of one of these, is it something we can do, or is a shop mandatory???

happytheman 08-22-2011 10:04 PM

Ooh, again..in for installed pics! :excited:

Carbon Fiber Element 08-22-2011 10:29 PM

As far as heat being a problem. I've done a bunch of rear struts in the 350 and also engine covers and center consoles. Even a roof. Sun doesn't have much affect on it. I clearcoat aall of our parts with good quality clear, so not a problem. We also plan to do a nice DIY this week while we install the bar to take pics...first thing in the morning GB pricing will be up, I promise!! Good Night all.

Carbon Fiber Element 08-23-2011 01:24 PM

Please copy and paste entire list

Mr&Mrs 08-23-2011 05:54 PM

So it is 900 with the core charge? Or 600 total im a little confused sorry.

XwChriswX 08-23-2011 06:04 PM

Our cars are safe to remove these and drive around w/o them correct? (Provided you don't get into an accident obviously :p )

So if I just take mine out and ship it to you, I don't need to pay a core charge correct??

Carbon Fiber Element 08-23-2011 06:59 PM

Its 600 plus the refunded core charge of 300. The core charge is just so we don't get screwed and someone doesn't return the bar. To cover our @ss basically. And your stock bar can be sent to save time instead of waiting. And also, if you don't want to pay the core charge, yes. As far as driving without the bar I'm not sure. I'd say look into that beforehand to be safe.

Carbon Fiber Element 08-23-2011 07:01 PM

I'd say you'll be fine. Google real quick and you'll see guys have removed them without any problems. Its really just a handling/performance upgrade IMO. Of course better handling and feel with it but a week or so without it i think you'll be fine. Just my 2 cents so don't hold me to it.

Carbon Fiber Element 08-24-2011 08:30 PM

So after a quick test fit, fits as good as stock. All panels fit perfect and no problems. The install is kind of a pain since half of the trunk needs to be removed along with the panels by the seat belt. But all in all its not too bad. We've had plenty of experience taking interiors apart so anyone whose done the swme should have no problem doing this swap. Could be a bit of a job tho for someone a little less experienced. Here's one quick teaser pic, stay tuned. But as far as the GB goes, lets get it going. We're finishing up this first pair of bars we have and looking to get this list going so we can start taking deposits.

Jjaden 08-24-2011 08:33 PM

Give me until October, I'll grab one of these and a steering wheel, both in dry carbon..

Great products!

XwChriswX 08-24-2011 08:34 PM

Man that looks soooo sick. Might have to wait on some other things and go ahead and knock this out first lol. Excellent job guys.

Is anyone, or are you guys going to make up a DIY of the removal/installation? I know how to get the rear panels out and such, but for all the ones surrounding that piece I'm not 100% sure. The real bitch is gonna be taking out my sub box... again. :rofl2: :shakes head:

Raizon 08-24-2011 08:38 PM

Do you have a picture of what blue kevlar carbon fiber will look like?
