i found that the popular Meguiar's blue claybar is too firm for my Z's finish.
it almost looked like i lightly wetsanded the clear. there are aggressive clays that do this intentionally, but i wasn't expecting it from their softer blue. i have a random orbital so polished it all out so no issue, but still kinda surprised. im going back to using my Griot's clay (which is super soft like mud) since my Z is only driven on the weekends on nice days and rarely gets any contaminants stuck on the finish. |
