This may or may not help, but have you tried the resetting stops with the door closed? I had a similar thing happen and I tried all these steps with

This may or may not help, but have you tried the resetting stops with the door closed? I had a similar thing happen and I tried all these steps with the door open, and no dice. When I closed the door and tried the same, it worked for some reason.
