Eurolight tinting

Has anyone tried this product??

YouTube - Eurolight Headlamp Coloring Kit

It looks very simple and nice. I kinda want to tint my taillight to black and

I want to know if anyone tried this product and comes out nice

Baer383 04-16-2011 08:51 PM

Don't do it you will probably get a ticket.:bowrofl:

dudesky 04-16-2011 08:54 PM

hmmm...I think tinting the taillight or head light very lightly won't be a big problem.

anyone agree??

Florida_GATOR 04-16-2011 09:01 PM

I agree. It seems legit enough, i couldn't find many reviews online though. Ill definitely try it once somebody else runs the first trial lol

Baer383 04-16-2011 09:05 PM

I use to live in New jersey that's why I made that comment.

I don't remember the law's there but here in Ga. headlights tinted will get a ticket, but tail lights can be tinted they just have to be visible at 300ft away under all circumstances.

dudesky 04-16-2011 09:09 PM

yea. I'm not going to tint the headlights. I like the clear headlights anyway for Z.

But smoking taillights lightly would look SEXY :)

Yeah it would just make sure the cops aren't going to bust your balls.

dudesky 04-16-2011 09:16 PM

I hate NJ's auto law... so strict and f*** up...

Why they are keep making laws that even sounds so stupid?

The worst thing was a cop gave me a ticket for having a license plate frame that

covers "Garden State" by like 0.5 in.... and that frame was from dealership...

anyway I guess I'm going to tint them VERY lightly :)

You have to read the book " The Soprano State " by Bob Ingles and all your questions about NJ laws will be answered. Btw according to sources the licence plate frame is a ticket is used as an excuse not to give a more serious ticket or just a ballbuster in case of a "poor attitude". Thats' Jersey " ... we don't pump our gas, we pump or fists...":stirthepot:

gaveup 04-18-2011 04:46 PM

This is for headlights only really...

That said, I think true blue will look nice on my black Z. I'll probably order it tonight.

Anarky 04-18-2011 06:12 PM

Intrested in results

jtgarza3 04-18-2011 10:06 PM

If it lights up blue then it mostly likely can get you a ticket. Blue and red are reserved for emergency Vehicles.

zentropy 04-18-2011 11:41 PM

In for pics...hopefully.

bradz 04-19-2011 03:03 AM

Hmmm looks interesting. Yah, in for pics anyone?:ugh2:

dudesky 04-19-2011 10:10 AM

would I still get a ticket even if I tint them to very very light blue for the headlights?

There's no guarantee of anything. A lot of people get away with 10k HIDs for quite a while with issues. I have a friend who's been running them for 4-5 years without a single issue from the police. And I've gotten stopped for window tint in my Z, when my windows weren't even tinted...just depends on your luck.

dudesky 04-19-2011 10:35 AM

oh thanks for the reply
I don't know why you got stopped by the police
for having oem tinted windows..that's just f***ing bs....
anyway wish you a luck! :)

DangerDanJD 04-19-2011 03:36 PM

In for pics.

I doubt you'd get pulled over.. I'm thinking just as long it doesn't light up blue, but then again it depends on the officer.

Police are people too. They're all different, and they all have their days, and their triggers. I know one officer that pulls over all sorts of people with HIDs, even if they look factory, since he just hates the lights. He would probably pull you over for the blue tint, whereas most just wouldn't even notice.

You should probably read their site before assuming such things. Just saying :)
Eurolight - Simple Wipe On Headlight Coloring Kit

Q: Will my headlights change colors?
A: Legally no, there is a very slight change of color that should not be noticeable, this was verified by the SAE colorimetric test.

Q: Is Eurolight legal?
A: Yes, according to NHTSA standards using SAE test standards.

I can't see them altering the headlights shade anymore than a 6000k HID bulb would.

A 2 Z 05-11-2011 09:08 AM

update: i got called 2 week ago saying the product was backordered. i havent received anything in the mail yet. :shakes head:

adampetrasek 05-11-2011 11:03 AM

I emailed them over a week ago with a few questions... Never heard anything back. Guess they aren't really interested in selling their products.

nynhex 05-11-2011 12:42 PM

Not bad, but definitely check your local laws. Here in Texas the cop/DPS officer has to be able to see your brake lights at 1500' I believe. On my old 350z I did two layers of tint and had no problems but YMMV. I wouldn't bother with the headlights.

Instead I'd paint the housings to get that "blackout" effect and still ride street legal.

fuct 05-11-2011 02:47 PM

ive always wanted to try a yellow tint on my headlight?

oh that Porsche looks sick :)
but would that yellow tint look good for Zs?? hmmm
yea yellow might looks hot on our Zs.

A 2 Z 05-12-2011 08:49 AM

OK guys so I called the store where I ordered it from and they returned my call. They said supposely that the store sent the vendor an email and looks like the vendor never got it. (which doesnt make alot of sense but ok?) So, according to who i spoke to on the phone he should be shipping it out today. I tried hustling them saying to give me 2 for the price of one. Well see what deal he gives me for him being a noob. BTW i switched the order from black tint to deep blue. I think it will look better on my MB Z.

HoneyBadger 05-12-2011 12:38 PM

Still waiting around to see how this stuck actually looks.

Alright guys sorry for taking so long to respond but I finally got around to doing the Eurolight tint. They ended up sending me the black tint instead of the blue one but im fine with that. Anyway I will post up pics soon! I can tell you tho its fairly easy to do if you follow the directions. Tint applies easy and does do the tint effect. My lights actually looks gunmetal now. lol

They recommend it only for headlights, they say something bout the headlights having different material than the tail lights. Honestly tho I dont think the paint and primer that comes with the Kit will be enough to do both headlights and tailights. Ill post pics up this weekend :tiphat:
