did that this past weekend. took me 4-5mins per side. to make this as easy as possible 1st for example if you are going to tackle the driver side 1st turn the wheel all the way to the right so that you have more working space. then get a flat head and pop that little clip that holds the inner fender (black plastic, there is only one). then start to "pop"/pull out the inner fender out which will give way to the lower part of the headlight....look for a long looking grey cylindrical tube around the area where the bulb is (just look and its pretty obvious which one it is)....twist counter-clockwise....pull out and walla! then close it up...turn wheel in opposite direction and tackle the other side. i can take some pics later on this week if needed because i know it may not make sense in just words.

Nice! Very simple mod and looks way better.

Puma0183 07-22-2009 08:29 PM

To get the parking lights out did you just had to pull them out or turn and pull? i tried to do it in some spare time i had today but i couldn't take them out.

and also, to get the head light bulbs out after turning the cover off, do i only pull it out?
i saw the back of the bulb but it has a metal backing i didn't want to just pull it and brake it.

if any one have some pics of how they did it, i would apreciate it. if not can you just tell me how to do it and i'll take some pics for future members.

and you i have to take the tire off?

When you pull the cover back, you'll expose the wiring. The plug is grey if I'm not mistaken. Turn it clockwise then pull back it should come right out. Another way to verify the correct socket is to look at the parking light itself and wiggle it. You should see the bulb move around inside.

dcrew1x 09-07-2009 01:01 PM

I just did this the other day after I got my v-leds purchase in for the parking lights.

Turn your wheel towards the passenger side if you're doing the driver's side and vice versa for the other side.

Use a flat tip to get the clip off the inner fender cover.

Pull back the cover so you can have access to the light harness.

Like Zeto mentioned, if you're not sure which harness it is, wiggle it and you should be able to see movement inside the headlight. It's kinda hard to see since the bulb is pretty small, but you can tell. The other harnesses are for power, not bulbs.

Use a cloth or wear gloves as you pull out the stock bulb (in case you wan't to use them again to avoid putting oils from your hands on the bulb). It pulls out very easily.

Replace with your LED. Check to see if it works; if not, pull it out and reverse the polarity.

Enjoy!
